Palm Sunday and Holy Week greetings to you and all! We are nearing the end of our Lenten pilgrimage and I just want to thank everyone who submitted their art pieces and meaningful reflections. And thank you to all for your continued participation on Zoom Sunday services. Since Christmas, we have broken the 40 participant marker and have had more than 50 join us in our virtual gathering.
This Sunday, we will have our long-awaited Annual General Meeting following our service. You would have received the links to the Budget and Annual Report complete with ministry team reports and a presentation from the Transition and Visioning Committee.
We hope you have had an opportunity to review these documents and are prepared to bring your questions and comments. It will be a unique experience for us to have an AGM on Zoom but we are most capable. Asking our questions and sharing our ideas will help inform the work of ministry teams and Church Council for the year to come. The Transition and Visioning team will also be presenting a Mission Statement for the congregation's consent. The team worked diligently to capture our life together and the things that are important to our community. Please take some time to review the statement and do some reflection on how it speaks to you.
Just yesterday, a new provincial health order was received regarding in-person Worship services for Holy Week. At the time of putting this edition of the Omnibus together, decisions have not been made. An update will be provided next week with details of our Easter services. We are still concerned by the number of daily cases. COVID has presented many unknowns for us and the biggest is when will we be able to consider a return to the building? Thank you for your patience to this end. We have been staying on course for so long, it is hard to imagine returning to the sanctuary with less than full access... but this day is coming! In the meantime, if you require any technical assistance accessing Zoom or YouTube Live, please do not hesitate to be in touch with Verena or Joan in the office.
Holy Week blessings to you and yours. I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
Peace,
Joan

Reflection:
I recognize that none of us have made a space shuttle flight into outer space… but I am curious if you have ever had a similar experience… a moment of awe and wonder that took you outside of yourself and gave you a perspective you didn’t even know you were looking for.
