Eat Play Love Family Sunday

This Sunday, January 26 10 am, through inter-active story, discussion, and fun activities, we will explore the theme of "Mentoring". Curious? What hidden talents are out there waiting to be explored?

Invite the people you want to spend time with, and with morning wake up beverage in hand, engage with all your senses in our inter-generational community.

To have a light continental brunch available afterward please bring muffins, baked goodies, yogurt, cheese, veggies, or fruit. Coffee and tea will be provided.

Hope to see you!

Last Sunday Bob Thompson was leading the service while Joan Kessler was with her family in Regina for the celebration of life of her dad.
Bob was reading Joan's reflection "A Matter of Time" which she wrote before she left. It was about her call to ministry and how and when it was happening.
..."I love my call story and I thank you for induling me in its telling. Whenever I have the opportunity to share it, I'm reminded that it really did happen that way...The details, big and small, are part of my journey. I look forward in the coming weeks and months of hearing your individual and collective stories of call over your history with Winfield United. And I also look forward to the Spirit's tug in new directions and possibilities."...

For the Word for All Ages "What is Communication" Michelle asked the children to write or draw a message on a card that would make someone feel good. Every child interpreted this little project quite different but non-the-less the outcome was very heart-warming.
At a very simple level, communication is the sending of messages. Messages with an intent. The tricky thing can be perception. Realizing that communication is a complex art form that is affected by each person’s unique perspective requires patience and practice.
Children’s perception is inherently ‘off’ for a reason.  For protection.  Their perception expands as they develop therefore, you can’t and shouldn’t argue with a child.  You offer choices, other perceptions, your perception, and you let them grow in this nurturing environment.
