Food Fright, Cuisine Curators Revealed
Thursday, October 27 | Lakefront Brewery | 7pm - 11pm | $35.00

On behalf of Local First Milwaukee, Outpost Natural Foods, Shepherd Express, CityTins, and Express Creative, you are invited to explore the local flavors of Milwaukee with some of the best chefs in town!  For only $35.00, your Food Fright Ticket will grant you a tasting of twelve small plates, 4 Lakefront Brewery tokens, a haunted brewery tour, and a chance to boogie down in costume with the 5 Cards Studs and DJ Cat Reince

Here are our 2016 Food Fright Competitors...
ABV Social

New to the Milwaukee scene, ABV Social isn't one to by shy.  Eager to show-off their eclectic sense of style and distinctive, classic american cuisine, this restaurant is 100% #InItoWinIt.  Let's see if they've got what it takes to impress the judges!

The brilliant chefs at Amilinda are fierce & ready to compete at Food Fright 2016!  Bringing you the flavors of Spain and Portugal, this favorite dining destination offers unique, locally sourced deliciousness in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.
Double B's BBQ

Wisconsin's best kept secret - 'aka' Double B's BBQ - is gearing up to compete in their 1st small plates competition.  Once you try their award-winning hickory smoked BBQ, they might be getting your People's Choice vote!
Good City Brewing

Word on the street: Good City Brewing might be the curator to beat.  Known for their brews & taproom, Milwaukeeans are taking note of their entrees.  Do they have what it takes to win Food Fright 2016?    Photo by Chris Kessler, Milwaukee Magazine

If there's a dark horse this year, Hudson Business Lounge might be it!  Known as the meeting/workplace for mobile professionals, they serve fresh, creative yum on the daily (like this chocolate panini w/ goat cheese & pistachio covered strawberries).
Irie Zulu

This Tosa Afro Fusion Cuisine restaurant will be serving-up layers of flavor, no matter how small the plate, in this year's Food Fright competition.  Always a contender for some of the best food in the city, their aim is to nourish & connect.

Known for inventive interpretations of classic entrees, Juniper61 also ensures an abundance of local love in every dish. This devoted member of Local First Milwakuee just might be the cuisine curator who will take home the gold in 2016!

Lakefront Brewery

Beyond their champion brewskis, Lakefront Brewery serves incredible homemade recipes that use the finest ingredients from Wisconsin farms and local entrepreneurs - and they want that Food Fright title.

Miss Mollies Pastries

A former Food Fright winner of the dessert competition, Miss Molly is looking to win over your hearts, once again!  Her made from scratch baking includes locally sourced dairy, grains, and organic fruits.

The Naked Baker

Yes, you  must limit yourself to one (or two) of these unbelievable gourmet cookies because we do not want you to spoil your Food Fright appetite!  The Naked Baker is a serious competitor, folks, and they have their sights on the grand prize.
Rumpus Room

The Rumpus Room tosses previous convention out the window, placing emphasis on great flavor and a little experimentation.  Inspired by a love for regionally-sourced ingredients, these curators always bring their A-game and leave with an award.

Tall Guy and A Grill

This is a tall order, but we're looking for someone to dethrone the 2015 People's Choice winner of Food Fright: Tall Guy and A Grill.  By no means are they ready to remove their crown, knowing they bring-it with their catering/grilling mastery and doses of #locallovemke.
Wy'east Pizza

Nothing like the new guy on the block to take home the Food Fright championship this year!  With rave compliments from foodies city-wide, Wy-East Pizza honors age old baking traditions and uses the best, locally-sourced products.

Boogie with the 5 Card Studs & DJ Cat Reince

There is no leaving a party early when the 5 Card Studs & DJ Cat Reince are performing - and every Milawukeean knows this. These musicians are the real deal and we are thrilled to have them light up the night with recognizable sing-alongs from the 60's & 70's.

Costume Prizes

Beyond the wild & creepy entertainment, which also includes a terrifying haunted brewery tour lead by the team at Lakefront Brewery, a $100.00 cash prize will be awarded to the best costume interpretation based on the catagores listed below.
