Leadership Transition
On January 1, Rippel welcomed Becky Payne as its new President and CEO, and Alan Lieber as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Health Care Strategist. The transition followed the planned retirement of Rippel’s long-time President and CEO Laura Landy, who is now President Emerita and Senior Fellow. This year marks the 70th anniversary of The Rippel Foundation. Today a foundation with one core purpose—to be a catalyst for an equitable future for health and well-being—Rippel is poised to implement an ambitious new strategic roadmap that will further our 70-year journey. Building Community and Belonging in Fox Cities
At a time when polarization and fragmentation intensify across the U.S., the people of Fox Cities, Wisconsin, are working to create an inclusive community where everyone can thrive. It’s countercultural, and it’s working. Imagine Fox Cities, a transpartisan, volunteer-based community initiative, is bringing together residents of all ideologies, races, incomes, and ages, from across sectors including business and government, to build belonging and improve well-being for all residents of Fox Cities. Federal Government Adopts Vital Conditions Framework for Health and Well-Being
|

|
The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion released the plan for Equitable Long-Term Recovery and Resilience (ELTRR) in November 2022. With commitments from over 40 federal agencies, this landmark interagency plan represents a revolutionary redesign of our government’s approach to improve the health and well-being of Americans.

|
The plan orients federal action and funding around the seven interrelated vital conditions that are essential for community health and well-being—a framework borne of Rippel’s ReThink Health initiative in partnership with thousands of contributors.
“This plan represents a sea change for how federal agencies work collaboratively and in partnership with civil society to truly serve communities,” said Rippel President and CEO Becky Payne, who served as the plan lead during her time in the federal government.
