In Case You Missed It
Federal Government Adopts Vital Conditions Framework for Health and Well-Being
The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion released the plan for Equitable Long-Term Recovery and Resilience (ELTRR) in November 2022. With commitments from over 40 federal agencies, this landmark interagency plan represents a revolutionary redesign of our government’s approach to improve the health and well-being of Americans.
The plan orients federal action and funding around the seven interrelated vital conditions that are essential for community health and well-being—a framework borne of Rippel’s ReThink Health initiative in partnership with thousands of contributors.

“This plan represents a sea change for how federal agencies work collaboratively and in partnership with civil society to truly serve communities,” said Rippel President and CEO Becky Payne, who served as the plan lead during her time in the federal government. Click here to read her full statement and learn more about how Rippel supported the development of the plan.
