You may know that GiveBIG is May 5 and 6, a crowdfunding event that uses online donations of all sizes to raise funds for nonprofit organizations. While we always welcome the financial support of our community – especially this year – we invite you to consider a different NWFC fundraiser that will launch next month:
The “We’ll Meet Again” Project
Our March concert and fundraiser “Road Trip” was postponed for health and safety reasons. This event was to be our greatest source of income for the entire season, and it is yet unknown when we can reschedule it.
We are reframing our fundraiser as an online pledge drive paired with outreach to senior living communities in crisis. The Northwest Firelight Chorale has been performing at senior residences for each of our three concerts each season as an important expression of our mission, “to invite the opening of people's hearts to love and healing through inspired rehearsals and performances of soul-stirring music.” While our organization needs funds for operational support, we are also moved to act on behalf of vulnerable seniors isolated from loved ones for their own health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will have more information to share about the “We’ll Meet Again” project in the coming weeks, along with financial goals and how we will connect virtually with senior living communities.
Our Request of You
- If you are considering GiveBIG as your only vehicle for donating to the Northwest Firelight Chorale, we ask you to give as generously as you can, to help us make up revenue shortfall from postponed events. Here is the link to our GiveBIG page.
- If you are able to wait for our "We'll Meet Again" project, we invite you to stay tuned for more details from our team.
- If you would like to donate BOTH times, we will be ever grateful!
As always, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to continue to bring joy to our audiences with our music!
