It is my hope that you and those you care about, will enjoy the Holidays and be ready for the New Year! At this time of the year, we get extra busy. Between the holidays and people wanting to help us, it really is a "Wonderful Time of Year"!
Thanks to everyone who participated in another very successful Thanksgiving Box Program. Once again we used our partners to provide over 1,200 family members a special Thanksgiving Dinner.
This is also the time of year when we ramp up our efforts to acquire the neccessary donations and contributions we need to continue to help the over 1,600+ people we serve each year. To help us with our end-of-year fundraising efforts, many of you should have recently received our Annual End of Year Mailing piece and tomorrow is Colorado Gives Day throughout Colorado and a great time to support those nonprofits who make our communities and our lives better. In addition, last Thursday we once again enjoyed the Valley Bank and Trust Annual Silent Auction, a fundraising event to support Almost Home, which I have been a part of for all 17 years I have been here.
In short we are busy and because we receive over 400 calls a month from people needing assistance, which means we need your help and your support. We do our best to make it easy for you to make a financial contribution, you can always call in a donation with your credit card info or visit our website at www.almosthomeonline.org to make your year-end donation.
Again, Happy Holidays! Please enjoy this special time of year, with your loved ones and think about all of those in your life who are special to you and who make our lives wonderful. And always, keep Almost Home in your hearts.

Support Almost Home This Colorado Gives Day
Colorado’s largest one-day online giving event, presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, is tomorrow, Tuesday, December 6th and we need your support.
Tomorrow, thousands of donors will come together to support Colorado nonprofits like ours. Last year, we received a record-breaking $6,535 from Almost Home friends on Colorado Gives Day. This year, our goal is to raise $10,000!
Your donation will help us to continue to provide the services needed by the hungry and homeless in our community.

For the 14th consecutive year, Almost Home once again hosted our Annual Thanksgiving Meal Box program which supplies a box that is filled with everything needed to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal for a family, including the turkey! The meals are provided for free to low-income families that reside in Brighton. We are thrilled to announce that this year we handed out 300 meal boxes which results in over 1,250 meals served to folks living in our Brighton community. An event this large takes the help of a village and thankfully many Brighton area businesses, organizations and individuals stepped up to help make this program possible by either volunteering, hosting a collection drive or making a monetary donation. CLICK HERE for the full list of those that helped us out this year. We are glad that we could once again provide a delicious Thanksgiving meal to those in need in our community.
