...it’s simply the fear of losing things that inhibits us from entertaining new possibilities.
Success is you doing your best to lead with whatever you have at hand. Be cautious of other people’s standards. Having an opinion is much easier than leading.
We shut off the creative energy at our inner core. New ideas feel distracting and fruitless, especially if they come from people we don’t trust.
Yet, in every situation, we have the potential to bring our unique thinking to improve things. That includes improving things for ourselves.
How can you approach situations with an open mind rather than a closed one? Answer: by cultivating your love of making things better. Don’t let the busy-ness of today crowd out your willingness to imagine.
In that moment of frustration, take a deep breath. Connect to your inner core.
I breathe in the hope of better.
I breathe out the fear of worse.
(Then repeat a few times.)
That’ll get the creative juices flowing!
