If you could know the truth about the threat of climate change, would you want to know?

In Before the Flood, Leonardo DiCaprio meets with the world’s top climate scientists, energy experts, government leaders, and visionary entrepreneurs to learn about the reality of climate change and what can be done to solve it. As Leonardo discovers, the dramatic impacts we are witnessing today are a result of less than 1°C in global temperature rise. Current projections show we are heading for 4°C, which would bring about almost unimaginable consequences. Because of these changes, some have said we may be permanently reshaping the planet.

"The Arctic is like the air conditioning for the Northern Hemisphere. If it goes away, that’s going to change currents, that’s going to change weather patterns, that’s going to make floods and droughts more catastrophic. It’s the most dramatic transformation of a large environment ever."

Dr. Enric Sala
National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence

Movie screenings begin promptly at 7 PM, and doors will close shortly thereafter when we are at capacity. This is a free event and discussion afterwards is greatly encouraged.

Presented as part of the monthly Environmental Film Series, through our ongoing partnership with the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum. We are sponsored by a grant from the Joseph Robert Foundation.
