office/closet reveal: the finished product…
By Rachel Parcell on Aug 11, 2014 05:00 am
Happy Monday everyone! Today is the third and final post to the three-part series with Alice Lane to reveal my closet/office space (if you missed the first two posts, read them here and here).
I’m SO excited to take you into the space where I spend so much time writing and working on the blog that I’m lucky enough to have you all read each morning. I hope you love it as much as I do!

I’m going to let all the photos do the talking, but I do want to give a big thanks to Alice Lane Home Collection for creating such an incredible space for me to do what I love!
Have a wonderful Monday!
xo, Rach

office/closet reveal: the plans…
By Rachel Parcell on Aug 10, 2014 10:13 am
Happy Sunday everyone! In case you missed yesterday’s post, go read it and then come back to this one ;).
Before the final room reveal tomorrow, I wanted to share with you the renderings and floor plans of the space, because they’re too pretty not to! Take a look…

When Jess and Christy initially presented the design, the first thing they showed me were the renderings. My jaw dropped and I wanted to cry, it was more than I could have ever imagined. They both had the most eloquent way of describing each detail in the room and the purpose it would serve; from adding a shoe closet (I know right), to a pink, fringe inspired chandelier, all the way down to a brass tray to display my clutches.
It wasn’t hard to completely fall in love with the space they created for me, it was sophisticated, feminine and pink! However, I think the best part about this space is how Jess and Christy not only paid such close attention to not only form, but also function.
They designed a custom center island for storage. The top top drawers of the island to be a jewelry display case, lined in pink velvet with a glass top. The bottom drawers, a place for me to store things like workout clothes, socks, swimsuits, sweats, tights and slips.
Next, custom hanging space for my clothes, with storage on top for handbags, hats and shoe boxes. Then a bank of drawers for storage beneath a window to add natural light to the space.

Last, they added a free standing desk in front of a beautiful large window, the perfect place for me to work, blog and be inspired.
And then added the icing on the cake with the most beautiful accessories and furniture (silk peonies and all)!
Be sure to head over to Alice Lane’s blog to get Jessica’s perspective on the design behind this space.
Have a great Sunday!
xo, Rach
