Swim Ireland AGM
Formal notification will issue to all members in relation to the Swim Ireland Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will be held on Saturday 13th April 2019, in the Campus Conference Centre on National Sports Campus. The AGM is an extremely important date in the Swim Ireland calendar and represents an ideal opportunity for Swim Ireland Members to express their views and to contribute to the decision-making process of the organisation. A number of important elections will take place, including elections to vacant positions arising on the Swim Ireland Board of Directors and a range of national committees who support the work of the Board at an operational level, many of which are elected through the regions. Details of all positions are contained at link to letter and we would encourage clubs to consider who among their members might be interested in putting their name forward for one of the vacancies.
The Annual Water Polo Conference and the Regional Annual Conferences of the Connacht, Leinster and Munster Regions are all scheduled to take place in the coming weeks and it is clubs are encouraged to send delegates to these meetings. The dates of these meetings are: Leinster: 12th February 2019 l Munster: 13th February 2019 l Connacht: 20th February 2019 l Water Polo: 16th March 2019
Swim Ireland are undertaking a Communications Plan and we would like to hear your views on communicating with you  more effectively. The survey will take eight minutes to complete and all submissions are anonymous. Please encourage all who are interested in the future of Irish aquatics (swimming (including masters and open water), water polo and diving) to complete it. The survey is available online HERE until 17th February 2019 and every entry will be entered into a draw to win a goody bag. We will also be carry out a consultation at the McCullagh International Meet on Friday 22nd February. Members/Parents/Coaches/Officials are invited to attend to take part in the consultation and can sign up HERE. Thank you in advance for your help!
Coach/Committee Workshop
As part of our on-going support for clubs and members we will be holding workshops in each region to support and foster the relationship between coaches and committees.
As one of the most important relationships within a club setting, we want to allow the opportunity for coaches and committees to come together and discuss the key areas to make sure this relationship delivers for the club.

The key areas that we will focus on the day will be:

1. To encourage and develop healthy and mutually beneficial relationship between coaches and committees.
2. To identify support needs for clubs, coaches and committees.
3. To formulate a “partnership agreement” between coaches and committees which will become a template for clubs to adapt to their individual needs.
