This summer has seen our teams at various festivals! 170 volunteers became Festival Angels at Leeds Festival running a Prayer Cafe, Lost Property and detached teams (BBC Radio Leeds interview / Diocese of Leeds review /  Pictures). Teams were at both V Festival venues where they handed out cups of water and ran a "God Tent" chill out area. Various local projects were at local festivals including Ladies Day's, sporting events, galas, Edinburgh Fringe and an extra night for A Level results. #JesusLovesFestivals
CNI Network sent the new Prime Minister Theresa May a copy of the "Street Angels" book and a letter saying that as CNI Network we will be praying for her in the months and years ahead as she leads our nation in this time and season of change.

On the left is a copy of the letter received back from the Prime Minister.
Our teams were busy Pokemon GO spotting over summer... Some of the Pokemon even became part of our teams!
From our Blog:
CNI Network were part of a day with MIND and Faith Action looking at supporting people with and to raise awareness of Mental Health. Many of our teams have helped people with mental health issues and assisted the emergency services with those who are suicidal within the areas we work and it is hoped that we can provide some resources to our volunteers that can also be shared within the faith communities we represent.

CNI Network and Leeds Street Angels met with Dementia Friendly Leeds to look at how our projects can best support people we come across with dementia. CNI are encouraging projects to raise awareness of dementia with volunteers so we can better support those affected - website.

Following an interview on Premier Radio around an increase in Knife Crime, CNI has launched #TalkKnives as a way of encouraging parents, youth leaders, police, teachers, churches and friends to have the conversation with young people about knives. WebSite / Twitter
