Happy New Year from Community Land Scotland

Welcome to our new news update which will be sent out occasionally (we promise you won't be inundated!) to give you a brief overview of what we're doing, what our members are up to and what's going on in the spheres of community land ownership in Scotland.

Photography Competition Winners

Our Photo Competition ran from June - November last year bringing in over 200 fantastic images of our member areas. This winning shot (in the ‘Adult' category), entitled 'Sand Patterns', was taken by Trevor Hunter from Laig Bay, Isle of Eigg, looking over to the Isle of Rum. See all the winning shots, plus all photos entered HERE

Colintraive & Glendaruel Development Trust
CGDT was established to engender a cohesive approach to developing the social, economic and cultural base of the area in the Cowal peninsula of Argyll. The first of their ambitious plans came to fruition in 2013 with ownership of Stronafian Forest  transferred from FCS under the National Forest Land Scheme.

Happy Birthday The Gathering

We were pleased to win an exhibitors package for SCVO's third sector get together 'The Gathering' (19th-20th Feb) by tweeting this photo of our celebration of their 10th birthday on beautiful, community owned, West Harris. We look forward to representing our members and meeting others there. You can book in to speak to us there HERE
