Here are some special events happening in Hamilton, Montana around Valentine's Day:
  • Pick up a Valentine's Day Origami Take Home Kit on Feb 14th from the Bitterroot Library. The DIY kit includes all materials and instructions to make an origami heart box. Or join the Craft Night the next day to assemble this kit with others at the library on Feb 15th at 5:30.
  • Place a special Valentine's bakery order of lemon raspberry sandwich cookies, heart shaped whoopie pies, cupcakes, or chocolate covered strawberries from MineShaft Pasty Co. Limited supply. 
  • Take a stroll downtown during Hamilton's Culture Crawl on Second Saturdays and check out artwork on display (and for sale) including Valentine's specials at local artist studios on Feb 13th, 11-3pm.
  • Gather some friends (or just you and your sweetie) for your own Valentine's Wine Tasting on Feb 11th at 6pm. Reserve your ticket and pick up your wine package at Jessi's Wine & Goods to host at-home and join online for a guided wine tasting via Zoom.
  • Bring the kids to the Ravalli Museum to craft Valentine cards to share with friends and family on Feb 12th, 10am-2pm. Show your admiration, express your feelings, and cut and glue to your ‘hearts’ content.

  • Find the perfect gift at the Valentine's Weekend Show  at the "Downtown Bitterroot Daly Mansion" at 415 South 2nd on Feb 11-13. Fine art paintings, bronzes, clay sculptures, pottery, jewelry, leatherwork, digital art, prints and more.
  • Make some Valentine's art with Jean Driescher on February 5th 11-3pm at ARTSpace downtown on 7th. Free and fun for all ages. No registration required.
  • Join us in sending Valentines for Seniors! Make as many cards as you would like and spread the word. Drop them off in person or mail them to Sapphire Lutheran Homes, Attention Dominic, 501 N 10th Street, Hamilton, MT 59840. Address the cards: "Dear Valentine," and leave a return address if you would like.
  • Swing in and get your name in the drawing for Big Sky Candy's 1st Annual Valentine's Giveaway. On February 9th they will draw a name to win a basket that includes one pound of their homemade chocolates along with other goodies.
  • Help the Linda Massa Youth Home staff give the residents a special Valentine's Day. Donate Valentine's treats and goodies and help spread the love to these kids.
  • Hit the Annual Cowboy Ball for a gala with a romantic theme. Live music and dancing starting at 8pm on Feb 12th, $20 at the door.


Culture Crawl

Saturday, Feb 12, 11-3pm
Join us on the second Saturday of every month for the Culture Crawl, a walking art tour featuring artists at Hamilton studios.

Wine Tasting Event

Friday, Feb 11, 6-7:30pm
Gather some friends for your own private Valentine's wine tasting party! Join us for a guided virtual wine tasting. Jessi Trauth, owner of Jessi's Wine & Goods, will lead you through an exploration of intoxicating wines of great character, rich with stories of place, time, and artful vinification from some of the world's most exciting wine regions. Ticket price is $350 and includes a private link to the online event, 4 full bottles of curated wine, and suggested pairings. Serves up to 8 people. A Gatsby Gala

Saturday, Feb 26, 7pm
Roaring 20s guests will enjoy an atmosphere of 1920s Gatsby Glamour and elegance. Joan Zen Jazz is our featured musician, so wear your dancing shoes! There will be a dance lesson, dance contest and a variety of interactive games and activities, plus a new Casino Area featuring 3 different styles of Poker. The no-host bar service will be provided by The Rainbow Bar and the appetizer buffet will be deliciously prepared by Chef Bobby Coza. Arrive looking dapper in your top hats and bowlers or your flapper dresses with sparkle and fringe to celebrate Roaring into 2022 at the Daly Mansion! Tickets are $55 each or $100 per couple.

Floral Design with Flower Happy

This is a very rare special event with Featured Artist, Pam Suarez, owner and designer at Flower Happy Flower. Pam has generously offered to bring her sold-out workshop event to Open-Ended. All materials provided, as well as design instruction and permission to indulge in the beauty and scents of fresh flowers. Snacks and bubbly beverages will also be served. Limited to 15 guests. $75 Standard Rate or $63 Sponsor/member rate.

6th Annual Chili Cook-Off

Saturdays in February
Jerry Wessels Tire Center is hosting their annual Chili Cook-off, which raises money for Bitterroot Valley schools. Clubs from various schools bring their own chili specialties (often from personal family cookbooks). Chili lovers can visit the tire shop and donate any amount of money to try out the chili. Winners get a $500 matching donation from Jerry Wessels. First cook-off starts on Feb 5th. Full story at KLYQ.

HDA Meeting

Thursday, Feb 10, 8:30am
Downtown Association meetings are always held on the second Thursday of each month at the Community Room on the 2nd floor of City Hall (Bedford Building) at 223 S 2nd St. This is an in-person meeting. Hamilton businesses, non-profit organizations, public service, clubs, and individuals who have an interest in our downtown are welcome to attend for networking and to promote events, sales, FYI's, and more.

10th Annual Cowboy Ball

Saturday, Feb 12, 8pm
This year is a special gala celebration with a romantic theme. Dinner sales sold out. Live music/dance sales at the door $20. Cash bar, cash dessert bar, live & silent auctions, 50/50 raffle, bucket raffle, paddle call, merchandise sales.
