Topic: Commercializing Clean Tech with Energy Giants

Large companies are often best suited to take on risk with new technologies due to their financial might and wide application base. However, it can be challenging for small innovative companies to penetrate and establish first projects with Fortune 500 players. Saltworks has developed three product lines and a method that consistently lands new technology pilot projects. The presentation will share lessons in commercializing clean technology with some of the world’s largest resource and industrial companies as first customers. The presentation will also cover methods to finance development while retaining intellectual property.

Presenter: Ben Sparrow, CEO, Saltworks Technologies Inc.

Today Saltworks has plants installed around the world and operates two production facilities in the Lower Mainland. Prior to starting Saltworks, Ben was responsible for over $500M in capital project delivery at a major power generation utility.
