Doing the groundwork for a Big Mac

DP Fuel Tank Services (DP FTS) excavated and removed four resin generated foam filled fuel tanks to allow McDonald’s Restaurants to start work on building a two-storey flagship restaurant with a drive-through on the site of a former petrol station.
 
The former site of the Abbots Cross service station in Bridgemead Industrial Estate, Swindon, had three 46,000ltr tanks and one 22,000ltr tank located underground.
 
DP FTS’ excavation was complicated by the fact that the tanks were filled with RG22 solid foam that uses formaldehyde as part of the curing process – a hazardous chemical and carcinogenic in sufficient concentration.

Just for fun
June is the month with the longest day, so it has the most daylight of any month. It is also the anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. There is a famous quote reportedly made by the Duke of Wellington during the battle that referred to the sun going down as one of his preferred outcomes. What was it?
