Levy-funded projects preserve buildings, enhance safety and enrich education

With remote learning in effect, Battle Ground Public Schools’ maintenance and operations crews have been as busy as ever completing a variety of projects made possible by levy funds. Part of the district’s five-year plan for school improvements, these projects help preserve district and community assets, enhance learning opportunities, and improve safety and security for students.

The district is dedicated to using available funding responsibly so that school buildings last for current and future generations. The completion of regular and interval maintenance projects is a vital part of protecting and preserving these valuable community assets.  Read more on the district website

CAM Academy 6th graders place in local VFW's "Patriot's Pen"

Congratulations to CAM Academy 6th graders Margaret Popova (left) and Kamille Ong (right) on their respective first and third place finishes in the VFW’s annual Patriot’s Pen Essay contest! By placing first at the local post-level competition, Margaret advances to regionals. First place winners at the regional competitions advance to state, and each state champion advances to the national finals. Best of luck at regionals, Margaret!

Each year, this nationwide youth essay competition gives more than 125,000 students in grades 6-8 an opportunity to write essays expressing their response to the question “What is Patriotism to Me?”

The Pleasant Valley Primary School elves are back!

They're back! The return of the PVP elves can only mean one thing: the Christmas season is officially upon us!  This holiday tradition is a favorite among students and staff, and it's easy to see why.

During PVP's "Ten Days of Elfmas," the school posts a new photo each day of the elves partaking in a favorite holiday tradition and invites students and families to post their own pictures doing that activity. You can join in on the festive fun on PVP's Facebook page
