In order to bring you the best possible event, the park requests that those who plan to attend register by emailing “Monarch Festival Registration” and the number of people in your party to gorges@ncparks.gov.

From interactive research tagging, a Monarch life-cycle presentation, and a keynote address from Heyward Douglas, attendees are sure to walk away with a deeper understanding of Monarchs and their ecological importance.
Crafts & Activities
Stay active with a butterfly hike, interactive kid's games, face painting, seed bombs, native plant displays, and more! While you're here, check out the museum-quality interactive displays in the Visitor Center.
Local Vendors
You won't want to miss our lineup of booths from local shops, artisans, and conservation groups. Also in attendance will be local musicians Hawk Mountain & Collin Cheek, and local food truck Here's the Deal.
