The State of Colorado is offering gift cards and vouchers while supplies last to anyone who receives a first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at a participating state-operated vaccine site. Moderately and severely immunocompromised people who are recommended to receive an additional vaccine dose are also eligible for a gift card or voucher.

Coloradans can register for a vaccine at a gift card stop in advance and check back regularly for any additional gift card clinics at Walk-ups are also accommodated.

Also this week, The Filipino American Community of Colorado (FACC) pop-clinic on Aug. 24 will offer a free meal from Chuey Fu’s Food Truck to the first 100 vaccinated.

CDHS has a requirement to aid in the data collection necessary for HB21-1100: Electronic Filing of Government Documents. The requested deadline from OIT for this inventory is August 31st in order to meet their reporting requirements to the Governor’s Office. More information about this requirement will be coming to teams from the Executive Management Team.

Ultimately, the future goal is to ensure that forms are electronically available to citizens to the greatest extent possible. As we experienced this past year, our ability to serve constituents relied heavily on technology and electronic formats, and we are working to ensure this access is available as much as possible moving forward.

Our first step toward this goal is to compile an inventory of all forms, whether electronic or paper, used across CDHS for services provided to our clients and customers.

What’s needed from you:

  • All forms used by CDHS for obtaining information from citizens must be listed on this spreadsheet.
    • Guidance on how to fill out the spreadsheet is on the first tab

There will be open office hours for questions on the following dates:

It’s that time of year! Mid-Year Evaluations will be available in Cornerstone starting Sept. 1. Mid-Year Evaluations are required for all classified CDHS employees hired prior to Sept. 1.

The Mid-Year Evaluation is an opportunity for the employee to self-reflect, and for the supervisor to give an employee feedback on their performance thus far in the performance cycle. In the Mid-Year Evaluation, supervisors and employees will check in on core competencies, goals, and professional development objectives.

Prior to Sept. 1, log into Cornerstone to make sure your goals and professional development objectives are accurate and progress is updated. For more information on how to review your goals and objectives in advance of the self appraisal, check out this how to guide.

The deadline to complete self-appraisals is Sept. 30. All Mid-Year Evaluations need to be completed and signed by the employee in Cornerstone by Oct. 31.

Mid-Year PMP Guidebook - This guide contains everything you need to know about completing Mid-Year Evaluations including key due dates, step-by-step instructions, and frequently asked questions.

Training Sessions  - In this one-hour course, join the Learning, Engagement and Development Team to learn how to complete important steps for Mid-Year Evaluations.

Technology Tip
Adobe’s Subscription-based Licensing

As with most software companies, Adobe is moving to a subscription based model for their products.
What this means for current Adobe licensed users:
  • Adobe products will be supported until the end of support date for that product version.
    • Find Adobe end of support dates here.
  • Users will want to purchase a new subscription based license prior to the end of support date for their current Adobe product.
  • For example: If you have Adobe Acrobat 2017, it has an end of support date of 6/6/2022. You will need to procure a new subscription based license before June 2022.
What this means for new Adobe licensed users:
When contacting Insight for an Adobe software license quote, Insight will provide a quote for the subscription-based license for that product.

Kudos to our Staff who are Keeping the Lights On

Kimone Ellis, Aaron Pacello, Barbara Holmes, and Annie Hurst

I would like to sincerely thank Kimone Ellis, Aaron Pacello, Barbara Holmes, and Annie Hurst for getting our 08/16/2021 Orientation going for the 28 Denver New Employee Orientation hires. They were short staff during the Orientation and still managed to make it happen. They made it look seamless and business as usual for the new employees coming in for the in-person orientation. The team has been used to being more flexible and adaptable since the start of COVID and continued to do so. The high volume of new hires for the past several weeks has been stressful and busy to say the least, but they continue to ensure that everyone is onboarded as scheduled in order to support the various programs. Truly proud to be part of an awesome team who consistently goes above and beyond with helping one another to still get the mission accomplished.

--Frank Nguyenloc, HR Operations Processing Supervisor
