NBA XPLOR Accepting Applications for 2017-18

XPLOR logo
Interested young adults ages 21-30 can now apply online for the 2017-18 Residency. Pastors should be receiving a mail packet with FAQs and promotional materials to share with your congregations. Application deadlines are:
  • Dec. 5, 2016 (early)
  • Jan. 17, 2017 (cornerstone)
  • Feb. 15, 2017 (extended)

NBA Prison & Jail Ministries News and Advocacy

Rev. Dean Bucalos, mission specialist for NBA Prison and Jail Ministries, shares ways Disciples can get involved in issues related to incarceration:
  • Watch "13th," Ava DuVernay's new documentary film about the criminalization of Black people in the United States. Study guide forthcoming.
  • Join NRCAT in speaking out against the torture of solitary confinement. (See Resolution GA 1525 to learn more.)
  • Consider social enterprise supporting the well-being of people who have been incarcerated, in recovery, and/or involved in gangs.

Mental Health Blog: Self-Care Strategies on a Budget
