Sundays at 11am! Introducing something new! We're simply calling it the Family Worship Gathering! 
Families join each other safely in Zirbel Hall for worship, with social distancing and mask requirements in place. Facilitating a positive worship experience for families is a high priority! 
The atmosphere is casual and don't worry about your kids wanting to color. We'll make sure they have enough crayons to last.

Leadership Nominations

The open positions needed for Elder are: Children/Family Ministry, Membership, Mission Affinity and Worship. Deacon positions needed are: Memorial Receptions, Health, College Ministry and Home Communion. Please give prayerful consideration for someone you may wish to nominate (it can be yourself). Operation Christmas Child 

This is Operations Christmas Child's National Collection Week, November 16th thru November 23rd. There is still time to pack a shoebox online. The minimum donation is $25. Letters to Persecuted Christians 

This is an opportunity to write letters of encouragement and cards for Christmas to our brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering for their belief in Jesus. Please call Ken Purucker at 562/594.6026 with questions. He will deliver to your home the information and names needed to participate in this ministry to others. What a blessing for us in America to reach out, uplift, and give joy to those who stand firm for Jesus!        

Food Finders  

Holiday servants are needed:
Saturday, November 21st, those with SUVs, trucks or vans, to deliver Food Boxes and Turkeys in the local Long Beach area. Deliveries will begin at 12pm from McBride High School, 7025 Parkcrest St., Long Beach. If you can help, call Sylvia Rosas, Food Finders Servant Coordinator, 562/283.1400 x112.

Women's Christmas Tea -
Saturday, December 12th, 10am-12pm
A goodie bag filled with teas, scones, and other treats will be distributed on Friday, December 11th (time TBD), in the church parking lot. Then on Saturday, December 12th, we will all enjoy tea and fellowship together via Zoom from the comfort and safety of our homes! We will have a speaker and other surprises. If you aren't able to pick up your goodie bag, we can deliver it to you. Please RSVP to ensure a goodie bag. A link to RSVP will be coming soon. For Our Youth

Monday at 2:30pm: Join our GS Youth Online Zoom Meetings for a time of connecting, playing games, laughing, and a short Bible study. Josh will send out a Zoom meeting link via text message ahead of time.

Thursdays from 5-6pm: Middle and High school meet at the Seal Beach Pier for a walk to decompress and connect with each other. Masks are required.

Changes to the above schedule are sent out by text message.  Email Josh Higgins at to be put on the contact list.

Youth Life Groups will be starting up in the fall. Groups will practice social distance guidelines as they learn what the Bible has to say about the tough times Jesus went through and how we can follow his example as we all face tough times together.
