Last Wednesday Night for Spring, 2023!
Join us for our last Wednesday Night together on May 24th! Seniors at 4:45pm, Dinner for everyone from 5:45-6:30pm, followed by Life Groups and a service opportunity for our Kids and Youth packing summer packs for Precious Lamb Preschool as well as a huge inflatable obstacle course, popcorn machine, and movie in Zirbel Hall.

Pentecost - Sunday, May 28th
Pentecost is the festival when Christians celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is celebrated on the Sunday 50 days after Easter (the name comes from the Greek pentekoste, "fiftieth"), and is regarded as the birthday of the Christian church, and the start of the church's mission to the world. We will begin a three-week sermon series entitled, "Holy Spirit, Take Over!"

Vacation Bible School
July 24th-28th, 9am-Noon
Save the date for Stellar VBS coming to Good Shepherd July 24th-28th. PreK-5th graders will launch into field-tested rotations such as science, music, and crafts that reinforce relevant Bible Stories and immerse kids in new adventures. Registration is open for kids entering PreK (4 years-old by September 1st) through in-coming 5th Grade. Nursery Care (under 4 years-old, available only for people who are serving on campus that week!) Click here to register. Cost: $10 per child.

Precious Lamb Preschool
Help us fill 40 summer baskets for our local ministry partner: Precious Lamb Preschool in Long Beach.
Thank you to those who have already given toward this. We will be collecting items through May 21st, drop them off in the blue buckets on Sundays or at the office during the week, Mon-Thurs 9-4.
Items include: Coloring books, Colored pencils, Crayons, Bubbles, Sidewalk chalk, Beach toys with bucket, Granola bars, Fruit snacks, Juice boxes, Frisbees, Playdoh kits, kites, and Pinwheels.

Alzheimer's Interfaith Service
Join us on Thursday, June 8th, at 11am in the Sanctuary for an Alzheimer Interfaith Service, followed by lunch in Zirbel Hall with "Music through the Ages" by Wayne Harrington. Servants needed are greeters at 10:30am and table hosts for the luncheon. Contact Carol Jaeger at carol@gspc.org with questions.
