Welcome to another exciting year for the Junior League of Phoenix!
I am delighted to welcome you to the 2019-2020 administrative year! This is a special year for the Junior League of Phoenix as we celebrate our 85th milestone year as an organization. In the 85 years since its founding, we have built a legacy of collaborating with non-profit partners in the Phoenix metro area. Our volunteers have mobilized to address urgent community needs, creating signature direct service programs and adding capacity to essential nonprofits through volunteerism.
What has made the Junior League of Phoenix unique in its impact throughout the years is the effectiveness of its trained volunteers. Our training and development ensure that our members are ready to face the challenges of our community, both today in our direct service programs, and in the future, as board members and civic leaders. We offer unique opportunities for personal growth through comprehensive leadership development and training, community service, and lifelong connections. By welcoming all women, our organization thrives through its membership’s diverse backgrounds, interests, and experiences.
My hope is that our new members, our seasoned members, and our supportive community will take advantage of all the benefits listed above that Junior League has to offer. Together, we are a network of women empowered as leaders creating sustainable community change. The future leaders that we give to our community is our legacy!
Cheers to a new year!
Wendy K. Brooks
President, 2018-2020
