September marks the unofficial start of the Junior League year. We will host our first General Membership Meeting this month and the committees will dive into the work of the annual plan. This year is special, not only because we are celebrating our 85th year, but because this is year one of our new five year strategic plan.
Our goals of:
*Focus on Membership Diversity, Engagement, Training and Retention
*Realign Budget Allocation and Diversify Fundraising Streams
*Improve Internal and External Data Collection and Dissemination
*Focus on Issue Based Community Impact and Advocacy
will not only assist us in building our internal capacity as an organization that empowers women's leadership development, but will allow us to serve our community's needs through our partnerships, signature programs, and advocacy.
We look to our members and supporters in the community to assist us with our goals. That assistance takes many shapes: leader, committee member, provisional member, financial sponsor, event attendee, community ambassador, or cheerleader from the sidelines. All are needed to help us ensure that the Junior League of Phoenix continues to be a catalyst for change and a champion of worthy causes to improve our greater Phoenix community!
Together we ARE better!

President, 2018-2020

Junior League of Phoenix has been a force for good in the Phoenix community for 85 years.
We are celebrating all year long with peeks into our past!
Top: JLP was heavily involved with the Children's Crisis Nursery in the 1970s.
Left, Middle: 1980s Fiesta Under the Sun
Left, Bottom: 1980s GiftMart
Right, Bottom:To celebrate our 35th anniversary, a Cabaret was held in 1967. President Leslie Felch humorously wrote, "I firmly believe that a League that can sing and dance together can work well together." Long Ago and Now: Agogo was the first follies production in eight years, and in spite of the "show biz" bug, the League earned over $12,000.

2019-2020 Provisional Class Kicks off Day of Service
|
|
|
On Saturday, Aug. 24, 103 of our new Provisionals met at Saint Vincent De Paul to give back to the community as a group. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a non-profit organization focused on providing individualized care, nourishment and resources to those most in need. Throughout the day, the women worked on numerous different tasks like making sack lunches, organizing donations in the warehouse, creating blessing cards, and many more. Over the course of the four hour volunteer work, the group made and stuffed 3,500 sack lunches; this allows SVDP to provide 500 sack lunches to people in need throughout the community for one week. |
