SPRING - SUMMER NEWS
Coreconcept Team - Aiguillette des Houches 2285m - 17th June 2019

As spring creeps into summer across the Alps at Tracks and Trails we've already been making the most of the warmer weather and snow free trails. We've been to Provence, France to trek the GR4 and Verdon Gorge, then to the beautiful island of Corsica to hike the GR20 from the heart of the mountains at Vizzavona down to the gorgeous coastline. This week we have enjoyed local trails around the Chamonix Valley celebrating 10 years of Nordic Walking adventures with Core Concept.

Behind the scenes we've been refining our winter programme for you to enjoy in 2020, if you have the urge for last minute ecape then it's not too late to join us over the summer months.

We are excited to launch our new Chamonix Classic Walks, an ideal introduction to alpine walking. We will soon be back in Italian Dolomites to run our NEW 8 day version of the Alta Via 1 trail. Then later in the summer the Alta Via 2 and the Tour de Monte Rosa trips, Stephen's guest blog on this wonderful part of the Swiss/Italian Alps.

Next weekend marks the start of the trail running 'race' season here in Chamonix. It's marathon weekend. Trail runners from across the globe are training and exploring our 'back yard' - the running 'capital' of the world. We'll be supporting runners racing who a year ago were new totally new to trail running but following a trail running camp with us their worlds have completely changed. Be inspired, read Ashanti's Blog about her experience.

If you are a trail runner looking for a short break then join us in our alpine base Chamonix. Choose from 4 days running Chamonix Classic Trails or for 3 days running 'point to point' following part of the legendary UTMB Ultra Trail Courmayeur to Chamonix - Run the 'CCC'.

Considering training for an ultra race or holiday like the UTMB? Then, check out Julia's UTMB Top 20 Tips - Eat right, trail right, be successful! Interviewed by Claire Maxted at the 2018 Kendal Mountain Film Festival.

Skiing the Hallingdal Track, Norway

Step or glide into 2020 - thinking of your next winter holiday? We have dates for all our winter snowshoe and cross country ski trips available; as well as our dates for our walking and trail running holidays in 2020.

NEW for next winter we have the Trolls Trail Experience, based in the Norweigen Rondane mountains. Graded at 'improver' level skiers, this is the next step if you have completed one of our beginner courses and wish improve technique and go on a first 'point-to-point' journey.

For our advanced cross country skiers then check out our wonderful Hallingdal Track, a challenging tour through remote parts of Norway. Read Jim's guest review on this fabulous adventure.

We'd also like to introduce two NEW snowshoeing trips to the Dolomites. Choose from our Italian Dolomites Snowshoe which is a centred based trip in Cortina, and our Snowshoe the Dolomites: Alta Via trip, which is a mix of day tours and a point-to-point journey staying in wonderful 'rifugios'. Both trips offer a chance to visit the spectacular Tre Cime and Cinq Torri mountains and guarantee excellent food and wine!

If you are new to Nordic skiing and are looking for where to start then we have 4 great beginner graded trips to choose from with dates from January to March based in either the Alps or Norway.
