He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free. The Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down..the Lord sustains the fatherless and the widow... Psalm 146:7-9

We saw Jesus do all of the above through our ministry team in July! Three of our Wings Staff, along with my mother and one other team member, spent 16 days ministering at four children’s homes in different cities and villages located in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Amongst each home are 8 pastors who not only are daily caring for orphaned and needy children, but operate Bible schools, pastor churches, and are reaching the lost in the slums and in their communities. We were so honored to work among such heroes of India!

Throughout the trip we spent time with and ministered to 500 orphans and saw many of them get filled with the Holy Spirit! We taught the children how they were champions in Jesus, and like David no matter what giants they face in life that God almighty is with them to help them defeat the enemy! We shared other lessons like these, praying that the truth of God’s word would turn on like a light in their hearts. After each lesson we had fun with the kids painting, playing games, even going to the beach and other fun activities! Their smiles and laughs still echo in our memories.

Two of the kids homes were in need of shoes for their children so we were able to go to the store with them and help them buy a new pair! At one home in particular, the children there were in great need of some new clothes. The ones they were wearing were old, dirty, and torn- not at all the kind of clothing God has in mind for His children! So we took them to a local clothing store where they all got to pick out a set of brand new clothing. We even were able to bless the pastor and his family and leaders with a new set. Everyone was so excited, they said it felt like Christmas for them. The look on their faces was priceless! After shopping we took the kids to a park where we played together on the playground and later shared ice cream together. This particular children’s home has a lot of other needs and the pastor has been doing his best to make ends meet for them all. Thanks to you and your previous gifts, we have been able to help them purchase their new school supplies and books! I’d like to ask you to please pray for Refuge of Christ children’s home and consider helping to be a sponsor for them. Their living facilities are in need of many repairs and the kids could sure use some new bedding and other supplies.

BOY'S PRISON: One of our highlights was getting to go to a boy’s prison (called a boy’s home), where there were 126 boy’s there all due to various crimes and offenses. They were so excited to have visitors! We played games with them, did a few dramas and illustrations that spoke on life choices AND the best choice that God made for all of us by sending Jesus so that we could be truly free. All 126 boys prayed with us to invite Jesus into their lives and received their own copy of a New Testament! We didn’t want to leave, but thank God His Spirit is still with them!

We have been praying for them and all 500 children we spent time with ever since. God has great plans for these young ones and satan would do anything to see these plans aborted. NOT ON OUR WATCH!!! I would ask you to continue in joining us in prayer and support for the fight for their lives, which are far more valuable than gold.

We also spent time ministering at several churches and encouraging the believers there. On two occasions we were able to bless and participate in providing meals and food to many widows who are from the slum areas. I was also honored to have my mom with me on the trip as she encouraged many Bible school students with the teaching and “bread from heaven” God put in her heart to share.

During two nights on our trip we hosted Gospel crusades at two different villages, where a total of 634 people attended. We had taught the children a Gospel drama which they came and presented at the crusades. They had never done a drama or anything like this in their lives, but they did such a great job! God spoke in a great way through all our team members as each one shared on the power of Jesus and His reality in their lives. We saw 112 make decisions for Christ and each got to receive a New Testament! As well, several were healed as they came forward for prayer. Thanks to your support we were able to host these crusades and provide a meal afterwards for those that attended.

“Remain in Me and I in you and you will bear much fruit.” - John 15:5

In total we ministered to over 1,825 people (500 of which were orphans) and saw 270 make salvation decisions for Jesus! Praise God! 182 were baptized in the Holy Spirit and we were able to give out 261 Bibles and provide meals to over 600 people.

THANK YOU! All of this was able to take place through your support! You have made an everlasting impact on the lives of thousands in Andhra Pradesh, India and have made hundreds of children very happy! This is the beauty of the Body of Christ all across the globe.

LIONS UPDATE - The name God gave us for our street kids outreach in Kathmandu is the Lions outreach, for God is calling them to rise like mighty lions into His great destiny for them. Our team member Pepino has spent the last three months with these boys and two local church leaders who oversee this project. They have seen God do great things in them and heal their hearts as our team has taught them how to forgive through the power of Christ. Many horrible things have been done to these kids in the past, and sadly for many of them by family members. There has been noticeable changes in them as they have started to attend church with our team regularly and agreed to give up their glue and attend Bible classes while our team feeds them. They spend at least 3-4 days a week with these boys, but are still praying to find an adequate facility or apartment to be able to continue focused ministry and rehabilitation with them. Please pray with us as we continue to search for a facility and for God’s wisdom for our team there.

Thank you for your support for the new children’s home in Pokhara, Nepal! They have just have broken ground so they can start building.  Thanks to you all we have had support come in that we have been able to send, but we still need to raise more! (At least $10,000 more) If you would like to help please indicate “Pokhara, Nepal” as you give. Any gift helps as we want to help them be able to take in more children from the streets, including those affected by the earthquake.

1. Currently our team is in the process of writing a children’s foundational curriculum series to bless all our partner homes with and other homes we are networked with in Asia. Please pray for us as we collaborate and finish putting these items together. As I have traveled these past years I have found that many believer in the developing nations of Asia are under resourced, and even the US resources we have available are difficult for them to understand or culturally relate with.
2. In October we plan to minister at one of the homes we are partnered with in Yangon, Myanmar. Please pray for us as we prepare for this trip, asking God that He would give us the right words of encouragement to the children and their caretakers. Pray also that many will come to Christ as we share the Gospel.
3. Please continue praying for our 6 partner children’s homes in Nepal, Thailand, Burma and India (181 children total):
  • Pray that they will know their amazing calling in Jesus. Ephesians 1:18 “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.”
  • Pray that they may be completely free from any of the enemy's past workings in their lives. John 8:36 “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
  • Pray that they will rise up as God's chosen people to turn their nations upsideown for Jesus! 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

Dear Friends,

In January I will have lived in Asia for 6 years! I can’t believe it! The more I spend time here the more I see how much still needs to be done- how many lives there are still to be reached with the Gospel and love of Christ. God’s justice for the oppressed, mercy for the sinner and hope for a future only come through our Savior Jesus- and He only comes through people like you and I! One of my favorite quotes from Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke is that  “Though man can do nothing without God, God CHOOSES to do nothing without man.” He has chosen US to be His vessels to bring His Kingdom to this world! Let’s continue to bring Him to others in every opportunity we can. As always, I want you to know that I so value your partnership and want to THANK YOU for faithfully standing with me in this mission.

Many blessings back to you!
