New code of ethics

In late 2014, EMCC launched an initiative to update the EMCC Code of Ethics to include elements on supervision. Grégoire Barrowcliff  (VP for Regulatory Affairs, some of you met him when he came to Luxembourg in 2011) led the group in charge of drafting the revision. The new code of ethics can now be downloaded here

EMCC ACCREDITATION:  EIA

Our last Information & Networking event (26 November) started with a brief presentation of the history of the EMCC Luxembourg accreditation process and the current context of re-accreditation. While going through the EIA guide for applying see here, several questions were raised about the possibility of mixing both coaching & mentoring. Susanne Habran, in charge of accreditation for Luxembourg, can now confirm that as the same competence framework applies both for mentoring and coaching, you can indeed mix your coaching and mentoring activity within your EIA application.

This is an option which is particular to EMCC.

As the EIA application process is time-consuming and must be prepared well in advance, we invite you to read all relevant documentation as a very first and important step.

All documentation (guide to applying, calendar etc.) is available on the EMCC Website on the accreditation page:
About the EIA see here /  EIA download

Also, AEC/EMCC Luxembourg has developed several forms for you to use in case you wish to apply for EIA:

- A client evaluation form available in English and French to help you collect the requested feedbacks of clients.
- A Continuous Professional Development (CPD) form to help you gather all CPD events you attended in Luxembourg (Information & Networking, members' only events etc.).

For those who will soon start the application process, we wish you all the best in this journey, it will be a lot of hard work but you will also learn a lot about yourself!
ECA/EMCC Luxembourg is a platform of professional coaches and mentors, focused on ethics and quality, sharing experiences and best practices for a high-level-standard in coaching and mentoring

PAST EVENTS

The President, EMCC Turkey, opened the conference. This 22nd EMCC conference in Istanbul was a great occasion to meet colleagues from around the world. Some particularly exciting sessions were delivered by Tanguy Lunven from France who uses music extensively to transform teams and organisations (www.tanguylunven.com), Adrian Tsukamoto from Japan who has been involved in transforming a global organisation through systemic coaching (global.coacha.com), and John Leary-Joyce from the UK on emotions and the application of Gestalt to the world of executive coaching
(www.aoec.com/blog/author/johnlearyjoyce). As always I have returned from the conference filled with new ideas and new avenues to explore!
Solidarity Coaching Session: how to make a difference

At the 22nd EMCC conference, the workgroup leader, Guilaine Roullier-Arduin and Eveline Forgot presented  their 10-year experience of solidarity coaching in France, Stella Voulgaraki shared the 5-year solidarity coaching experience with ONGs in Greece and Rita Knott presented the Luxembourg experience with solidarity coaching to individuals since 2010. An interactive exchange with the participants on how best to implement the solidarity coaching initiative in their countries rounded up the session.
