Dear <<First Name>>

May is such a wonderful month with warmer, longer days and the surge of growth in our gardens. Give yourself five minutes, grab a cuppa in the sunshine and read on for our latest project, fundraising and event news.

Our On Track team are open and ready to help any young person out there that wants to engage to overcome their barriers and help them get closer to education, employment or training.

On Track is a free service that is focused on maximising the opportunities for 16 to 24 year olds furthest from the labour market to access the skills, qualifications and self-confidence needed to secure and sustain employment.  We provide each young person with a coach who works with them to identify their goals and break down their barriers to education, employment and training. Many of our young people are working with other agencies and we can work with any young person as long as they fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
•    16 – 24 years old
•    Live in Norfolk or accessing services in Norfolk
•    Right to work in UK
•    Not in education or training
•    Not in any paid work

If you think that we can help then please get in contact. All referrals and enquiries to be sent to
It has been a busy time for staff across all projects as life returns to the new normal and our Early Interventions team are no exception. Here is an update on the amazing work they do...

Bounce Back
-In six months, the team worked with 60 teachers with a webinar around supporting young peoples’ mental health through the pandemic.
-They also reached a group of parents with one to one sessions and three webinars.
-They reached 33 Young people with one to one sessions across both North and West Norfolk.
-Webinars for young people reached 433 individuals on tips to support their own mental health.
-They went into two schools for a day each after the third lockdown and reached 74 Young people with mindfulness and other interventions to help anxiety.

Feedback “Thank you so much for the sessions that you ran for us, we have had parents call to thank us for organising it as their young people are better informed to help themselves now.

What’s new – a new drop in session every second Thursday at Merchant Place in Cromer for young people to learn more about how they can receive mental health support. Listen out for Gina and Susan on Norfolk Radio next week talking about this!
Counselling and Mindfulness
Susan is delivering a course for four weeks with our Recovery Support Programme members. The feedback has been positive, and the group have been fully engaged.

“I started emotional and heavy hearted and left feeling more relaxed and better. I have tools to use now”
“It was really good. I am uber relaxed”
“Gave us little activities to practice mindfulness. Relaxing and safe. Facilitator is very kind and knows her subject well.”

On Wednesday 12th May, a team of brave volunteers, The TMP Trekkers, are taking on an epic challenge. Collectively, they will be walking 374.1 miles from Norwich Cathedral to Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris! Given current circumstances they will be doing it virtually, using the beautiful roads, lanes and paths of Norfolk and all to raise much needed funds for The Matthew Project Charity.
Every day, they will be reporting their progress competing with other teams from across the county. The first team to make it to the finish line will be declared the winners! Please click here to find out more and give the team a sponsor!
