As we announced in our last newsletter, The Matthew Project will be hosting an open day in the Bishop's House Gardens on Sunday 16th May. Jazz musician Simon Brown of Norwich Jazz Club has confirmed he'll be playing piano jazz at all sessions. Photographer Claire O'Hara will be available from 2.30pm - 4pm to capture portraits in this splendid setting in exchange for a donation to TMP. The offers for home baked cakes to sell are flooding in and the QR code treasure hunt prizes are sourced so all we need is you!

Norfolk Community Foundation has worked with local business and charities including ourselves with a campaign called Plug The Gap. Over £20,000 has been raised to purchase 500 laptops for disadvantaged young people across Norfolk. This new equipment will provide access to learning and opportunity through the pandemic and beyond. New equipment will bring hope to those that urgently need it. To donate or find out more, click here

Here at The Matthew Project we are always looking for new ways to generate income. So when we found Veterans Raffle - an ethical, charity focused portal raising funds for veterans, we had to register Outside The Wire. For £10/month you can join in, with a chance of winning prizes from £120 to £25,000. Outside The Wire receive £5 of every £10, securing us a new and vital funding lifeline to support veterans in our community with the help they truly need & deserve.

It's been a year since we first locked down for Covid and none of us could have imagined how far reaching the impact would be. However The Matthew Project have continued to offer support through phone and video calls, outdoor meetings and small groups.

We're really proud of our achievements but acknowledge there is a way to go as things unfold in the coming months. Please continue to follow our news, share and donate where you can.
