Renowned German countertenor Andreas Scholl has sung around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, among many others. This Wednesday he will sing a recital of art songs, accompanied by his wife, pianist Tamar Halperin.

Trinidadian soprano Jeanine de Bique begins her 2014-15 concert season with a recital in Cincinnati as part of one of Cincinnati’s oldest musical organizations: the Cincinnati Matinee Musicale, now in its 102nd season.  Recognized as “an artist of dramatic presence and versatility” (Washington Post), Jeanine De Bique’s luscious tone and compelling stage presence have led to accolades around the world.

Music for all Seasons at Peterloon presents Songs from Germany and Austria

All proceeds benefit the Music Scholarship Fund at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. The first concert of our second series will feature music for voice and instruments by Mozart, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Brahms, Nicolai, Mahler, and Strauss. With Pedro Arroyo, Cindy Candelaria, Paulina Villareal, Annelise Dwzonczik, Rachel Kay Zapata, Carmine Miranda, Jeff O’Flynn and Frank Weinstock.
