The Chamber is a collection site the local Toys for Tots drive. Lobby hours are M-F 9-4:30 located at 601 S. Indiana Avenue. Please note the Chamber lobby will be closed on Thursday & Friday, Nov. 26 & 27 for Thanksgiving.

Commercial Banker Ryan Clausen recently transferred to Englewood Bank & Trust and is now working with area businesses to design custom solutions for each company. It's Charlotte County Sheriff's Office 16th year of Shop with a Cop! 110+ children from Charlotte County will be supplied with a $100 gift card & paired up with local Law Enforcement to purchase gifts for family members and themselves. Big sale this weekend!  The Lemon Bay Garden Club is having a sale Nov. 20 & 21  9am-1pm. There will be a variety of plants.  Crafters have a selection of many gifts plus all occasion homemade cards.  This sale is to help offset the loss of our main fundraiser, our Garden Tour, which was cancelled due to COVID. United Way of Charlotte County (UWCC) is pleased to announce extended human service program funding for non-profit partner agencies that administer programs addressing the root causes of poverty within the areas of education, financial stability, and health and wellness. No new requests for proposal will be accepted at this time. New funding opportunities will be available to all interested applicants in the fall of 2021. Charlotte Players- Dec 2-6. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is just what we all need! Englewood Bank & Trust again this year is participating in the Marine Corps Foundation’s annual Toys for Tots campaign. Farmers to Families Food Box program will be in Charlotte County 9:30 a.m., Nov. 17 at Franz Ross Park while supplies last. Fresh produce, dairy, and meats will be available free to the community. The Charlotte County Commission will commemorate the opening of the El Jobean vacuum station with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 4 p.m., Nov. 17 at 4070 Railroad Ave. in Port Charlotte. The public is invited to attend. Parking is limited.
 
A Sarasota County representative will be available by appointment at the Englewood Chamber of Commerce Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to assist Sarasota County small business and non-profits with CARES Act applications. Call 941-474-5511 for an appointment.
 
Sarasota County has increased individual assistance grants from $5,000 per household to $10,000. CARES Ambassadors are available at several Sarasota County libraries including Elsie Quirk, Tuesday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., as well as Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m to provide assistance for individuals applying for CARES assistance. Englewood Animal Rescue Sanctuary (EARS) urgently needs new fosters.
 
All dogs are entrusted with EARS are placed in foster homes until adopted. We are limited only by the number of Fosters we have. In urgent need are homes without any other pets who can adopt larger breed dogs (over 40lbs). Donations are always appreciated.
