As you make plans for the summer such as post-graduation trips, picnics, and registering for the 2016 FGC Gathering, we invite you to turn your sunny thoughts to new opportunities for collaboration and connection among Friends. In this newsletter we're sharing Quaker news from New York Yearly Meeting, an individual reflection on the White Priviliege Conference, and an opening for a new Online Communications Fellow at Friends General Conference. New York Yearly Meeting

Program Spotlight: Yearly Meeting Visitors Program

Through the spring and summer many Yearly Meetings are having their annual sessions. If you go to annual session, be sure to keep an eye out for your Friends General Conference Yearly Meeting Visitor. FGC has been sending the Yearly Meeting Visitors (both staff and volunteers) for many years. As we collaborate with Yearly Meetings, the Yearly Meeting Visitor’s program allows FGC to have an informed perspective of the excitement and work occurring in our affiliated Yearly Meetings. Resource: Using The Web to Bring Seekers to Your Meeting

Jennifer Robinson of Gunpowder Meeting shares the tips for how to make a Meeting website that can help draw seekers like herself. Many potential newcomers use the web to find a spiritual home. Gunpowder Friends Meeting now uses the Quaker Cloud to be accessible and welcoming to new attenders and seekers, and to foster community of those already attending the Meeting.
