ANNOUNCING: Jump EP Release Concert

WHEN: Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 4:30 PM
WHERE: The California Jazz Conservatory, 2087 Addison St, Berkeley, CA 94704

So excited to celebrate the release of Jump, my debut EP, with local jazz greats Dave MacNab (guitar), Aaron Germain (bass), and Deszon Claiborne (drums). This is going to be a new level of music-making for me – I'll be not only performing the songs from my EP with new arrangements, but I'll also be presenting a bunch of my new music, which is even more in the vein of Joni Mitchell's lyrics mixed with disjointed, funky modern jazz grooves. Hope you can make it!

Tickets $15, available at the door and for preorder.

Shows at Old Skool Cafe April 5 and 12!

1429 Mendell St, SF CA 94124, 6-9 PM
APRIL 5: I'll be playing with my friends Tyler Harlow (bass) and Pele Or Greenberg (drums) in a jazz trio setting with some new originals!

APRIL 12: I'll be playing with the lovely Christine Cho, a fantastic singer/songwriter. We'll both play solo and sing some duets.

New Song: Matteo

This song is about one of my mentors. I really admire him for his reverence and wonder for the universe, and he has taught me a lot about life. But I still don’t understand how he gives so much to the world and appreciates its depths so fully—it’s something so simple and yet it’s such an elusive feeling.

Announcing my blog, Echoes

This weekly blog is dedicated to exploring and sharing timeless music—music that encapsulates the human condition with eloquence, passion, and novelty. It will also explore some questions about music—why do we make music? What makes music great? What is music, anyway? I hope for this to be challenging, mind-expanding, and wacky.
