Merry Christmas

It's not too late...

Hi all

This is our last newsletter of the year.

You are no doubt all consumed with your Christmas preparations - the office party, the shopping, the planning and present wrapping.  We are pretty much all sorted ourselves.  All cards sent, presents are all bought and we've almost finished wrapping.  It was our last breakfast this morning so we can relax now over the festive period and look forward to sprucing up the bedrooms next year before we re-open on Feb 1st.

Now if you're the type of person who leaves everything to the last minute, never fear, we are here to help!

The 25 gift vouchers are the ideal present for those difficult to buy for relatives and there's still time to get one in the post to you - we have until Wednesday/Thursday this week.  However, even if you miss the last post, we can always email one to you so even if you remember you have missed someone out at the last minute, we can help you out.

Gift vouchers are available from £50 upwards and if posted, they come with an attractive gift card and envelope so you can write your own message.  The recipient has twelve months to spend the voucher and they can easily do that on line on our website.  If you'd like a gift voucher arranging, just give us a quick call now or email us.

We hope you have a lovely Christmas and New Year, and look forward to seeing you in 2018 on the English Riviera.  Read on for our latest news and a reminder of our exclusive offers but you've not got much time left to book!

Best wishes,

Andy, Julian & Patsy!

PS
If you get bored over Christmas, why not take the time to review us?  You can review us on TripAdvisor, Google or Facebook - or all three!

Snow

Snow?

It's been strange these last couple of weeks looking at posts on Facebook from family and friends across the UK who've had so much snow!

It's like living in a different country.  We had two days where there was a slight frost, but certainly no snowflakes down here on the English Riviera.

I took the above photo the day that my parents were snowed in back in the Midlands!

Whatever the time of the year, it's generally warmer here in Torquay.  Come & see for yourselves soon.

No sooner as Christmas is over and there will be red hearts wherever you look in the shops.

Don’t forget, we can arrange bubbly, handmade chocolates or flowers for you.

Awards

Awards

For those following our awards success closely, you'll know that we won Gold for Best B&B in Devon recently.

We can now confirm that we will be representing the county as finalists in the South West Awards which will be held at the Riviera Centre in Torquay so only a convenient five minute walk for us, whereas other contestants will be coming from Cornwall, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucester , Bristol and Bath.

We've also been put forward for the national Visit England awards.  Last year we weren't lucky enough to be picked as one of the three national finalists but fingers crossed for this year.

Seafood Coast
Seafood Fayre

You'll probably already be aware that our coastline is known as England's Seafood Coast.

We have the largest catch (in monetary terms) anywhere in the UK just down the road in Brixham harbour, meaning you are never short of fantastic local restaurants where you can eat the very best and freshest of seafood.

Between Saturday 22nd September and Sunday 7th October next year, Torbay will be the hosts of the first Seafood Fayre.

You'll be able to tour the fish market, catch fish yourselves, see cooking demonstrations, go to wine tastings, eat on a journey between fish restaurants, try tasting menus, feed penguins and seals, find out more about the history of our coastline and much much more.

If you are interested, there will be more information added here over the coming months or you can follow them on Twitter @Seafood_Coast or Facebook @EnglandsSeafoodCoast.

We'd love to see you then.  If you want to eat world-class fish, why go anywhere else?

PS
And another date for your diary - Torbay Airshow 2018 is 2nd-3rd June.
