Above: Nine of the eleven members of our new "GreenHouse United" soccer team for 5th and 6th grade boys (girls are joining this month), from our Club 56 program.  Weekly drills and scrimmages with staff are combined with lessons on character and being a good team player.   These little guys are eager to start playing games with other local leagues in Natomas!  They're good!
Below: Investing in the WHOLE child for the sake of the WHOLE community.  Healthy foods workshops with Sac Waldorf teacher Christine Gruhn, "Outdoor Adventures" Fun Friday workshop with Josiah (around a "campfire" telling scary stories), college readiness workshop for teens, selections in our clubhouse library for Black History Month.
A Letter of Gratitude from our Board Chair

Wow!  What a year 2015 was for us at The GreenHouse.  Renewed teen programs with a college-prep focus, a new 5th and 6th grade soccer team, increasing numbers of volunteers helping children with tutoring, new GreenHouse graduates attending local colleges, summer drama and gardening programs . . . We are THANKFUL for the abundance of opportunities for neighborhood youth to live into their FULLEST POTENTIAL!
We are so thankful for all of you for supporting this beautiful ministry, especially all of our new donor-partners who came on board this year.   We received over $25,000 in year-end donations from 40 donors, the most ever for The GreenHouse – your generosity continues to amaze us!   That strong year-end surge sets us up in a great position for 2016 as we seek to expand and improve our many youth and family programs.
We also want to thank those  family foundations and corporate donors who have invested in kids and families this past year and into 2016 – The M & M Whitmire Family Foundation, Winn Communities, Charles A. Becker Foundation, Sundt Foundation, Ken & Lynn Hall Family Foundation, Sacramento Region Community Foundation, Northrop Grumman, CH2M Engineering, Kaiser Permanente, The California Endowment, and the Burke, Ezaki, Mireles/Sturgess, and Soderlund families.  We are deeply grateful for your partnership.
The Board of Directors has spent a lot of time reflecting on God’s continuous provision to The GreenHouse. As we enter our 15th year of community transformation, will you join us in celebrating and giving thanks for that provision, and for the consistent presence that The GreenHouse has been able to have with neighborhood families all these years?  We will be hosting a special 15th Anniversary Gala as part of our Kids at Heart dinner this year (Saturday, June 4th at the Clunie Center).  It will be a great time of celebrating with former board members, staff, church partners, and families from the community as we look back on the last 15 years, and look forward to many more!
We look forward to your continued partnership in 2016, and thank you again for your consistent faithfulness to The GreenHouse.
