The importance of developmental milestones

Ciencia in the City

Help us fund Ciencia's field trip to NYC's Natural History Museum!

CMEE's Spanish language after school program, Ciencia, is headed to the city and we need your help! On Saturday, November 15th, families in the program are invited to join us on our first annual field trip NYC's American Museum of Natural History. We'll be meeting with practicing scientists and they'll give us a personalized tour of their favorite exhibits. We've also been invited behind-the-scenes to experience museum's working laboratories.

We're asking Ciencia staff and families, members of the community, and whoever else wants to get involved to help us make this trip a reality.

Education @ CMEE

Opportunities for educators and schools

Our school programs offer numerous opportunities for children to learn through play...either in the classroom or right here at the Museum! Designed to meet NY State Learning Standards and Common Core for grades Pre-K through 2nd Grade, CMEE’s school programs can be adapted to meet the specific needs of students and teachers. To schedule a group visit or recieve more information, please contact CMEE's education coordinator, Vanessa Geppert, via Email or by calling 631.537.8250.

Please join us between 10am and noon on Saturday, October 4th for Henry's Retirement Party!

CMEE is looking for front desk and substitute front desk visitor services personnel. As a public face of CMEE, the Visitor Services Assistant is responsible for the reception of visitors, museum access, admissions, and reservations. On occasion, s/he may also assist with birthday parties, classroom activities, and exhibit support. Click here to learn more.

You've seen the staff wearing them in the Museum this summer, now your child can get his or her very own bright orange CMEE t-shirt! For a $25 donation, they can show their support for the Museum wherever they go! Inquire at the Front Desk for details!

We're pleased to announce that Sabrosa Mexican Grill has chosen the Children's Museum of the East End as its Charity of the Month for September. Be the 100th customer of the day at their Watermill location and whatever your order costs, they'll match it and put it in the fund for CMEE!
