Message From The President
The importance of Early Intervention
Bennett just celebrated his first birthday and we took him to the pediatrician for his medical check up. While Bennett is alert, social, and loves to play, the doctor expressed concern that he wasn’t saying “mama” and “dada,” which is a language milestone for one-year-old children. Just in case this was an indication of a language delay, the doctor recommended contacting the "Early Intervention Program."
CMEE and Riverside Rediscovered
The Children's Museum of the East End is thrilled to be a part of Riverside Rediscovered, a revitalization project currently underway in the Southampton hamlet of Riverside. Our first program—an 8-week art class designed for 2- to 5-year olds—was filled in less than a day after at it was announced!
Read more about it in the East End Beacon.
Help name CMEE's new bunny
The polls are now open!
The newest member of the CMEE family is quickly making himself at home in the Museum's lobby, but we can't figure out what to call him! We received some fantastic suggestions during the Mad Hatter Egg Hunt and now we're asking kids to help us pick one of these five names: Domino, Juan, Patches, Sam, and Uh-oh.
Ballots will be available at the front desk until 4/12. For those unable to visit the Museum during this time, you can visit our Facebook page and submit your vote.
CMEE's 3rd Annual Egg Drop
Saturday, April 15th @ 9:30am - noon
Please join us for our Annual Egg Drop Challenge! Now in its 3rd year, the challenge invites kids of all ages to design and construct containers that will (hopefully) keep an egg from breaking when dropped from the top of CMEE’s pirate ship. We supply the building materials, you bring the imagination…everyone enjoys the show!
Ages: Kids of all ages
Cost: $2 for members, $14 for non-members.
Space is limited and this event will sell out. For reservations, please call the Museum at 631.537.8250 or register online.
This year’s Egg Drop Challenge is proudly sponsored by Macaroni Kid Hamptons.
Spring Ladies Night
Wednesday, April 29th @ 6pm - 8pm
Please join us at Muse in the Harbor for our annual Spring Ladies Night. Don’t miss your chance to support CMEE while enjoying an incredible night out with friends!
In addition to hosting a fantastic evening of cocktails and conversation, we’ll also be raffling off this gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff tote, a $200 gift certificate to Egg by Susan Lazar, a shopping party at Calypso in Sag Harbor, and brunch for four at The Mill House Inn in East Hampton! Tickets for the raffle are $5 each or $20 for five and can be purchased online or during the event.
