Looking for a devilish Boomerang team?

The HRTC Devils are almost a Boomerang institution at this point and are heading over to Melbourne in January for another crack at the trophy. They're looking for another one to two players, at 50 to 75 handicap to fill out their ranks.

Please contact them through the link below if you are interested in joining the team.

Can you help with billeting this January?

We have amateurs and professionals from across the globe coming to Hobart for the first week of January. One of the great traditions of the international real tennis community is the hospitality extended to visiting members. If you are able to help, we'd love to hear from you.

Boomerang Trophy

11-25 January 2020

RMTC is now accepting registrations for the Boomerang Trophy on 11–25 January. The Fugitives won the title in 2018 against a tough field of over 200 players from around the world and are heading back in 2020 along side the ubiquitous HRTC Devils. It is always an amazing event and won't disappoint.

Registration guide

If you can't take off two weeks to do the Boomerang in January, there's also the Summer Cup in Hobart, which runs for five days, starting on New Year's Day.

Tournois des Trois Tripots

8-13 October, Bayonne, France.

The Tripots is back again for 2020 in sunny south-west France. Hobart and Melbourne both had strong contingents in France for the 2018 event, and we're expecting to see a similar turnout for 2020. If you want to find out more, have a chat with a member who's made the trip in the past. It's an amazing experience and definitely one for the bucket list.

Class 3-4 Pennant Grand Final

Class 3-4 pennant just wrapped up after another great season. Our top two teams consisting of John McCormack/Tom McAuley and Mark Bell/Stuart Mitchell were well deserved finalists and put on a great display of quality tennis during the final. Matches were close but Mark and Stuart won through in the end, taking out the night two matches to one.

Judith Clark Cup

The 2019 Judith Clark Cup between the Melbourne and Hobart ladies was a huge weekend of terrific tennis and camaraderie between the two clubs. Handicap singles and doubles matches were played over both days – with the ladies from both teams doing their respective clubs and coaches proud.
Day 1 saw Hobart get off to a flying start, but to have RMTC fight back after getting more used to the away court  - and at the end of the day, the result would remain in the balance at 5 matches all.
Day 2 again saw Hobart get off to the better start and again RMTC fought back. The day went down to the wire, but it was Hobart that would hold on – taking out the 2019 event 10 sets to 9. Congratulation to our Hobart girls and thanks to Melbourne for a most enjoyable inter-club event. See you next year in Melbourne!
