It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of Warren Soundy on Monday 11 February.
Warren was a much loved member of HRTC for over forty years, having joined the club in the late 1970s. He was a keen player, especially of night pennant, for well over twenty-five years.
Over this time, Warren was a great supporter of the club and a much loved figure. He was proud of the club and its history. It was Warren’s spirit and character that helped make the club the great place it is today. And of course, many will recall the support they received from “Wonky” in the dedans over the years. He personified what a club player was, exemplified by his appointment in the mid 80s as President of D Grade for life.
He had a kind and generous spirit, showed warmth to everyone, and will be sorely missed by us all. The Club extends our sympathies to his family and friends.
Vale Warren. Quandum sunt bacchanalia!
