The 3rd Annual Warrior Beach Week will take place September 8-13, in Bethany Beach, Delaware.

One Week to Go!!!

We're one week away from the arrival of the 2015 Very Important Families for Warrior Family Beach Week!

A VERY SPECIAL YEAR!!! It's with great honor that we'll be hosting the Warrior Families in the Bethany Beach community on the 14th Anniversary of September 11th. During the week, Bethany Beach, DE will host 31 VIFs (Very Important Families) for a week of rest, relaxation and fun. Residents and visitors can show our most deserving fellow Americans, that Bethany Beach is a community that cares. Here are a few ways:

  • 9/10 THURSDAY from 6-9 PM Family Night: Warrior Families will be in downtown Bethany Beach having dinner, shopping and enjoying the beauty of the town. You can recognize the Warrior Families by the OSTD ID Tag they wear (red, white, and blue VIF tag). If you see any of the VIF’s, thank them for their service and sacrifice.
  • 9/11 FRIDAY from 5-5:15 PM... LINE THE STREETS:  HERO'S WELCOME HOME.  Be part of the community showing honor to the VERY IMPORTANT FAMILIES (VIF’s) of Operation SEAs the Day.  Local Communities will line the streets to cheer and recognize the Warrior families as a motorcade leaves Sea Colony Marketplace, via Route 1 through South Bethany and onto Route 54 (Fenwick) towards Selbyville into Bayside, eventually reaching their final destination of Freeman Stage at Bayside. Buses carrying Warrior families will leave Sea Colony Marketplace 5:00 PM and arrive at Bayside 5:15 PM. Bring your family and friends --- wear Red, White, and Blue ---- wave an American flag. Or come to Bayside and give these brave men and women the HERO’S WELCOME HOME they deserve as they arrive at Freeman Stage at Bayside around 5:15 PM. We are very excited to announce that Aaron Tippin will be the Grand Marshal of the Motorcade!
  • 9/11 FRIDAY at 7PM, Aaron Tippin Concert at Freeman Stage at Bayside: Aaron Tippin topped the charts with Where The Stars And Stripes And Eagles Fly a song that became part of the American soundtrack during the aftermath of 9/11. Our Warrior families will be the honored guests at an evening of patriotic music performed by Aaron Tippin. Be part of this patriotic evening. Tickets are still available on the Freeman Stage website by visiting here.
  • 9/12 SATURDAY from 11AM-1PM, Cripple Creek Classic Car Show: Free entry to all -- If you like cars, you don’t want to miss the Second annual Cripple Creek Classic Car Show. Proceeds will benefit Operation SEAs the Day. Award Ceremony includes Veteran’s Best Pick in show! Cripple Creek Golf and Country Club is in Dagsboro, DE at 29494 Cripple Creek Drive.
  • ALL WEEK - Support Local Businesses:  The business community has risen to the occasion... over a hundred businesses have contributed to ensure a great week for our honored heroes and their families. Operation SEAs the Day Mission:
To organize and facilitate a beach week event for our wounded soldiers and their families as a means of showing our appreciation for their service and sacrifice. It is our hope that such a community-based gesture of support will be comforting and help ease their transition back into civilian life.
