Happy Spring!

Welcome back and thank you again for your interest and continued support for Operation SEAs The Day.  Planning has officially kicked off for the 6th Annual Warrior Family Beach Week!  Some highlights:

  • 32 Warrior Families and Caregivers will participate.
  • Welcome Home Motorcade is back, transporting Warrior Families from Sea Colony to Freeman Stage at Bayside on Friday 9/7
  • Following the Motorcade, Warrior Families and Supporters are invited to an evening concert event at Freeman Stage, where our Very Important Families will be honored!
Our Mission:
To organize and facilitate a beach week event for our wounded soldiers and their families as a means of showing our appreciation for their service and sacrifice. It is our hope that such a community-based gesture of support will be comforting and help ease their transition back into civilian life.

Feel Proud that our Combined Communities Unite in Honoring these Brave American Veterans and their Families

At Operation SEAS The Day, our Community has been rewarded beyond our Warrior Beach week. Bonding within families and between families is a bonus to us all as these Heroes continue the healing process. Here are a few notes received by those who participated in 2017.

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the rays of sunshine you put back into our lives. I cannot begin to tell you when the last time was we laughed, smiled, and relaxed as a family. … There are not words to tell you how much of a difference you have made in our lives. I want you to know the entire time I was in Bethany was the first time since I returned from Iraq that I did not have a nightmare. God bless you.”

“Thank you so much for your generous heart. Thank you does not seem like it’s enough. This week got my husband out into public settings. It allowed my children to enjoy themselves and be so spoiled. And it gave me hope”.

“… I cannot remember when I was not stressed out worrying where I had to be at what time. Just sitting on the beach with the sun on my face with no cares in the world or sitting on the beach at night in front of the bonfire were both awesome. THANK YOU!”

“How do we thank everyone who did so much and worked so hard to make sure our family (and 24 others) had a fantastic time?? There is just too much to be thankful for – food, fun, hospitality, generosity, sun, fresh air, and the chance to do as much or as little as we chose. Perfection!”

“Our favorite memory was the parade ride. My husband got really choked up seeing how many people came out to wave at him and the other Warriors. He was flabbergasted and moved to near tears (I was, too). Thank you for that moment of pure love and appreciation!!!! It meant the world to him, and to me.”
