The 5th Annual Warrior Beach Week took take place September 5-10, in Bethany Beach, Delaware.

Mission Accomplished

The fifth annual Warrior Family Beach Week has come to a close, but the memories will live on for many years to come!

To each of the 2017 Very Important Families: It was an honor to meet each of you and your families. We hope that sharing this week with you in some way demonstrates our Community's gratefulness and appreciation for your service and sacrifice.

We received an overwhelming amount of feedback from Warrior Families that attended 2017 Warrior Family Beach Week.  Here is a small sampling of what they had to say:
  • "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the rays of sunshine you put back into our lives. I cannot begin to tell you when the last time was we laughed, smiled, and relaxed as a family. … There are not words to tell you how much of a difference you have made in our lives. I want you to know the entire time I was in Bethany was the first time since I returned from Iraq that I did not have a nightmare. God bless you."
  • "Thank you so much for your generous heart. Thank you does not seem like it’s enough. This week got my husband out into public settings. It allowed my children to enjoy themselves and be so spoiled. And it gave me hope."
  • "After a very long summer spent in the hospital, this was just the break that was needed to mentally rest and recoup. We are very appreciative of all the kindness and support we received @ OSTD. From the bottom of our Hearts, we thank you all for everything."
  • "… I cannot remember when I was not stressed out worrying where I had to be at what time. Just sitting on the beach with the sun on my face with no cares in the world or sitting on the beach at night in front of the bonfire were both awesome. THANK YOU!
  • How do we thank everyone who did so much and worked so hard to make sure our family (and 24 others) had a fantastic time?? There is just too much to be thankful for – food, fun, hospitality, generosity, sun, fresh air, and the chance to do as much or as little as we chose. Perfection!"
  • "Our favorite memory was the parade ride. My husband got really choked up seeing how many people came out to wave at him and the other Warriors. He was flabbergasted and moved to near tears (I was, too). Thank you for that moment of pure love and appreciation!!!! It meant the world to him, and to me."
TO ALL OF BETHANY BEACH AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES: FEEL PROUD THAT YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN HONORING BRAVE AMERICAN VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES!
