About the Poet: Karen Dukes

Karen Davey Dukes has worked as a veterinarian, a pathologist, and an Anglican priest over the years, and brings the perspective of each to her writing. On retiring, she returned to her first love, poetry, and has had a number of pieces published in a variety of locations. Her chapbook, A Recipe For Orphans, continues to be available through the author or from Books and Company in Picton, Ontario. A second, For the Unconventional Soul, is expected to be ready before Christmas 2020. She is published together with members of the In-Formed Poets in In Fine Form, and has written to Pam Patterson's photographs in Wickerwoman. Karen is blessed to live with her partner, Pat, her sister Jan and two wonderful dogs, in Prince Edward County.
