About the Poet: James Pickersgill

James lives with an approved WSIB claim (for life) that covers hearing loss due to prolonged and continuous exposure to excessive industrial noise in the workplace over many years. A glorious sidelight to this bad occurrence is that he has some of the best hearing aids that Bluetooth technology can provide. James loves all they have brought back to his life through a recaptured fullness of this one of the five senses. Having started to compose poetry at 14 years of age and happily doing so ever since, he thought a poem as an ode to hearing aids should be written.
