WITS was very well represented in the March 2014 list of the top 100 women in tech part 1 from Silicon Republic.
There were three past chairs Mary Mulvihill, Ingenious Ireland (Communications, media) and founder of WITS, Dr Eucharia Meehan, Irish Research Council (Academia, research) and Dr Ena Prosser, Fountain Healthcare Partners (immunology, investment).
Prof Dervilla Donnelly, University College Dublin (Chemistry, academia) winner of the WITS Inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award 2011 as were past members Prof Orla Feely, University College Dublin (Engineering, leadership) and Susan McKenna-Lawlor (Astrophysics, academia).
Finally Executive member Vicky Twomey-Lee, Python Ireland (Coding, events) and current chair Dr Marion Palmer, WITS (Academia, advocacy) were named. Evidence of WITS role and impact on women in STEM. Well done to all. |

Women in Physics Day - Ireland 2014 QUB 19 March
Executive member Jaine Blayney was at the WITS stand at the celebration of women in Physics at the Whitla Hall QUB held jointly by Queen's University Belfast and the Institute of Physics.

Ten WITS members and friends attended the WITS Networking event at the Science Gallery on 5 April 2014. Ellen the Head Mediator gave us a great tour from 2.45-4 pm. We enjoyed every minute. People stayed and chatted over coffee. The feedback was this is great idea and do it again.

As the speakers will rotate, you'll get a chance to hear about all sorts of interesting research and some entertaining props as well.
