When disaster hits, communities need to take steps to ensure they can "build back better." This is the challenge in recovery planning. This 4-week online course provides an overview of the recovery planning process and highlights key planning activities for public health, emergency medical services, hospitals, community health, long-term care, and other healthcare institutions. The course consists of four live session webinars, with self-paced readings, videos and discussion board activities between the sessions.

The Conference of Boston Teaching Hospitals (COBTH), a coalition of twelve Boston area teaching hospitals, is seeking an Emergency Management Coordinator to assist in coordinating area-wide hospital preparedness and to serve as a resource for the preparedness staff at member institutions. This role works extensively with hospitals in the region and plays a critical role working with the BPHC Office of Public Health Preparedness during activations of the Medical Intelligence Center to support healthcare system preparedness and response.
