We begin this new "epistolary relationship" with some fresh news. This week we have begun registrations for the Gran Trail Courmayeur, which will held on 12 and 13 July 2014.
This race is the evolution of the historic Gran Trail Valdigne, organized by us since in 2007 and paved the way for long distance races in the Italian mountains. As ever, the trail articulates in full view of Mont Blanc, the giant protector of all the athletes competing along the most beautiful routes in the world. The race track has of course changed, it has become even more beautiful and spectacular and will also run through the municipalities of Pré Saint Didier and La Thuile.
The long route is 90 km long with a vertical drop of 5700 meters D+ and a maximum time of 24 hours. The short route, so to speak, is of 60 km with a vertical drop of 4000 meters D+ and a maximum time of 16 hours.
New in the Aosta Valley Trails will be the switching into the new path "Orrido" of Pré Saint Didier with its exciting panoramic terrace.
Like a tradition, in all competitions organized by the VDA Trailers, the common features of the two tracks of GT Courmayuer are the great spectacle of the scenery and its articulation through the high-mountain trails along a path of great quality. The latter aspect increases the effort required of athletes but allows them to live an experience of great emotional impact, safely supported by the proven expertise of the VDA Trailers organization and volunteers.
We therefore await you in Courmayeur on July 12, with the certainty that you will spend an unforgettable day amid sports and nature. In the meantime, we invite you to click on the Courmayeur Gran Trail site ( http://www.gtcourmayeur.com ) where you can register and browse through the route maps.
Happy running from Mont Blanc,
