We are all set! The annual Memorial Day crawl is fast approaching so sign up fast! Our deadline for shirt order is May 12th. The "Been There, Done That Tour" will be held on Sunday, May 29th.
We will leave Post 129 at noon and head to Post 233 in Palm Valley for our first stop. From there we will move over to the Pete's area, then to the Lynch's area. The bus will leave here at noon and return by 5 pm. Cost for the event is $20 and includes your shirt and transportation.

We are in need of volunteers to help cook, set up, and served at Jacksonville Beaches Annual Hooked on Fishing event on Saturday, May 7th. If interested please sign up on the board in the canteen.

The Legion is holding a raffle for a gas grill / smoker this month. Tickets can be purchased through the canteen. Drawing will be held on Saturday, April 30th.

The Auxiliary is in the process of crochet blankets for our homeless out of plastic bags. You can help by bringing in your unwanted plastic bags. Please see Patti Rodriquez with any questions.

polo shirt, Joe Maichle has coordinated with
Stitches and Screens, Atlantic Beach, to produce
the shirts. To be cost effective, for the
initial order we need a minimum of 24 shirts,
at an approximate cost of $30 each. Two sample
shirts are available for viewing at the
Post and the sign-up order form is ready.

We need your help in identifying living Korean War Veterans in our Post. The South Korean government has donated a commemorative book entitled “Korea Reborn — A Grateful Nation Honors War Veterans for 60 Years of Growth”. We will issue these books while supplies last. New dart league begins on Tuesday, May 17th. Registration begins at 6 pm, regular play begins at 7 pm.

The Post is starting a Saturday morning fish club. Starting on the second Saturday of the month we will have volunteers at the pier in Jacksonville Beach pier to met you. So come on out and enjoy the fun. The current plan is to fish from 7 am to 9 am. Please see Jerry Brandt with any questions.

The Duval Co. School Board's "Instruments for Education" program is back. Hopefully we can do some good as we will try to get the Beaches Community to help support our effort. Instruments and checks made out to Duval Co. School Board with Instruments for Education placed in the memo section would be welcomed. Let's help the future generations discover the magic of music. Join us at the Jacksonville Beach Golf Club for the American Legion Post 129 Second Annual Sterling Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 4th ! You are all invited to join us for a scrambling good time!
Come take part in this spectacular event by rounding up a team of golfers. What better way to kick-start your summer than to spend it on the greens!
We have a great day planned for you starting with registration at the American Legion Post 129 at 11 am with a free Bloody Mary bar. After registration we will head over to the course where the tournament will begin at 1 pm with a shot gun start - captains choice. We will have many great tournament prizes, silent auction items, raffles, 50/50's, and as well as mulligans for sale.
The tournament cost is only $60 per person and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, box lunch, beverage,
range balls, arrival gifts, dinner and awards banquet immediately following at Post 129.
The golf course is located 605 Penman Rd South in Jacksonville Beach, FL
