December 16th, 2014 to December 22nd, 2014
Mark you calendars and plan on celebrating with your Post family on Christmas Eve for our annual Christmas party! Karen and the G men will be here to entertain from 2 pm to 6 pm. Please bring a covered dish to share. 
Please grab some Christmas cards and fill them out for our troops. It's easy just write an encouraging message. Just let them know how much we appreciate their sacrifice. 

Queen of Diamonds Raffle Jackpot is almost $31,000!!! Tickets can only be bought on Saturday evenings. Tickets will be on sale until 645pm. Drawing will take place at 7pm.

Chili cook off will be held on Saturday, January 10th! 
It's that time of year! Please bring in a new and unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots! Please bring in your donations as soon as possible. There is a donation box in the canteen area. 
It's hard to believe but we are down to only TWO cards on the Queen of Diamonds raffle! This Saturday night is going to be huge!!!!

Both bars will be open plus a beer tub in the main canteen area. The Legion will be serving dinner and we will have additional seating in the back hall set up for your comfort. Pat Rose will be here to entertain in the main canteen area from 6 pm to 9 pm. The Queen of Diamonds raffle will be held at 7 pm but remember all tickets must be bought by 645 pm. 

In additional to all of that we will have our second chance drawing for a canteen gift certificate at 8 pm (winner must be present to win). Plus set up in the back hall we will have our membership people available so that you can renew! Also we will have people selling Legion shirts as well as the Riders selling their merchandise.  These could make great Christmas gifts so make sure you swing by and check them out!

The Auxiliary is running a great fundraiser this month! They are selling mini crown bags each holding a pull tab. The bags sell for one for $3 or two for $5! The bags themselves make great items to have for storing your drink chips or other goodies plus you never know what you may win on the pull tab! See your bartender for details!

 Monday through Friday 11am to 3pm

Homemade Stromboli
Homemade Stromboli with peppers, onions, and cheese with your choice of hamburger or pepperoni served with a side of marinara.
 
Caesar Salad
Large Caesar salad served with
grilled of blackened chicken.  
 
Soup & Sandwich
Homemade French onion soup
served with grilled cheese.
 
Burger of the Week
Three all beef burger patties topped with cheese served with your choice of fries or chips.


 
Please Note : Dave will also be cooking his lunch menu on Monday nights unless otherwise noted.

Terry's Kitchen Open for
Dinner Starting at 530pm

While Terry is out Dave will be cooking his menu Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights as well as a nightly dinner special. 

TONIGHT'S DINNER SPECIAL WILL BE A
RIB DINNER.

Friday, December 19th - Double Shot
Dinner will begin at 530pm make sure to get here early so you don't miss out!  Steak Bingo will be held at 630 pm. 

Evening - Saturday, December 20th 
Queen of Diamonds Raffle / Entertainment by Pat Rose 
The Legion will be serving dinner. Watch our Facebook page for additional details. 
 The Queen of Diamonds raffle will be held at 7 pm. Tickets will be sold only until 645 pm. 

Sunday, December 21st
The breakfast crew will be hard at work from 9am until noon.
New Year’s Eve will be the same as it has been for a few years. Group Therapy will be here to entertain us from 830pm to 1230am. There will NOT be a seat or cover charge this year. It is a no fuss party.

There will be party favors and we will put out some munchies around midnight but other than that it is just come, party, drink, and dance! No dinner will be available that evening. We are requesting that if possible everyone brings in some snacks to share.
Please join us for the first annual American Legion Post 129 Golf Tournament to benefit our Boys and Girls State programs on Saturday, January, 24th 2015. 

We have a great day of golf at the beautiful Jacksonville Beach Golf Club in Jacksonville Beach, FL. The event will include a 4-person shotgun scramble, golf cart, range balls, lunch, arrival gifts, and a awards dinner following the golf.

We will also need a lot of volunteers to help with the tournament. If interested, give me a call or send me an email. Candace Mabry will be heading up the tournament. We hope to have 100-140 golfers. — Sterling Phaklides (904) 294-4234 or sterling1960@comcast.net
