Please allow us to thank you for your help over the past year. This post could not accomplish all that we do without members like you. Please join us for the volunteer lunch and allow us to show our appreciation.

Saturday, July 23rd
We are hosting a Casino Night fundraiser in the back hall for Jax Beaches Charities on Saturday, July 23rd. They are raising funds for Janet Lewis' daughter Rene Joy L, who is battling stage 4 breast cancer.

All proceeds from this fund raiser will go towards her medical expenses. Tickets are on order and will be $25 per person. Doors open at 6 pm and the games open at 7 pm until 10 pm. There will an auction and raffle as well.

Every Wednesday!!!
Starting in June the Moonshine Margarita band will be hosting karaoke every Wednesday! This is a fun twist and we belive that you will truly enjoy it. So come on up and check it out. You won't be sorry.

The Auxiliary is in the process of crochet blankets for our homeless out of plastic bags. You can help by bringing in your unwanted plastic bags. Please see Patti Rodriquez with any questions.

We need your help in identifying living Korean War Veterans in our Post. The South Korean government has donated a commemorative book entitled “Korea Reborn — A Grateful Nation Honors War Veterans for 60 Years of Growth”. We will issue these books while supplies last. Please see Ernie with any questions.

The Post is starting a Saturday morning fish club. Starting on the second Saturday of the month we will have volunteers at the pier in Jacksonville Beach pier to met you. So come on out and enjoy the fun. The current plan is to fish from 7 am to 9 am. Please see Jerry Brandt with any questions.

Our Auxiliary unit is using the month of July to raise funds to help those effected by the recent floods in West Virginia.

They have many events planned starting with a weekly raffle. This week they are raffling off a beautiful Coach purse along with some other goodies. Tickets can be purchased at the canteen. Winner will be pulled on Monday, July 11th at Trivia.

More details to come on the other exciting events.

Mark you calendars for Friday, July 22nd for the annual Auxiliary Christmas in July dinner. More details to come!

The Post will be hosting a Group Session, for those who are seeking consulting for various issues, at American Legion Post 129 in the Auxiliary Room at 1800 Hours on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.

A trained professional will be present to facilitate these sessions and offer assistance as needed. This is free of charge. You will be able to access the Auxiliary Room via the Pool Room area or from the back hall, (the door is behind the curtain, the side doors will be unlock.

Please join us in our American Legion Post 129 Saturday golf. It is a nine hole captains choice/best ball theme. We now have over 40 players signed up to play on Saturday Mornings. We would love to have you join us.

the shirts. To be cost effective, for the
initial order we need a minimum of 24 shirts,
at an approximate cost of $30 each. Two sample
shirts are available for viewing at the
Post and the sign-up order form is ready.

Friday, July 8th - ALR Dinner
The chuckwagon will be cookin' up some traditional grub Friday, July 8. Fixin's will include: Beef Brisket, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans, Biscuit & Honey

Join us around the campfire for a great meal and fellowship and all for just $8 bucks a plate.

As a bonus for dining with us tonight you will get a FREE ticket and be entered in for a chance to win a free package of steaks!! You must be present to win. Drawing will be held immediately following steak bingo or when the last meal is sold, whichever happens first.
