We Need You!!!!

Tonight - Tuesday, June 6th 
We were delayed due some minor issues and need to wipe down the main canteen area again to get ready for paint. Most of the dirt was cleaned last week tonight we are really just getting the dust off the walls, ceiling, and floors. All help is appreciated. 

Saturday, June 10th 
On Saturday, June 10th we need to paint the walls in the main canteen area. We will begin at 10 am. If we have enough volunteers this project should not take more than a few hours. 

If you can help on either of these days your Post would be extremely appreciative. Most of the work for this project has been done by professionals but in the upcoming weeks we will be asking for your help. 

I have faith that as a Post you will come together to get these final steps done so that we can move back to the main canteen area as soon as possible. 

The Latest News, Events, and Menus for the Week of
June 6th  to June 12th
Update...The canteen project is moving along nicely. Starting tomorrow we have professionals coming into to paint the ceiling. While this is going on the room will be closed. We know that everyone is curious and wants to peak at the progress but please refrain as this could cause issues during the painting process. 

On the Saturday, June 10th we will open the room and begin painting the walls. All volunteers are welcome and encouraged to join us. With enough people this will not take long. 

After paint the last major step is the new tile which is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 12th.  

 We know that everyone misses the main canteen area, your canteen staff included, just know we are working diligently to move this project along as quickly as possible.
Saturday, July 15th - 6 pm
Casino Night is back! The Legion will be holding a Casino Night Fundraiser to benefit Boys State on Saturday, July 15th.

The cost to attend this fun filled night is only $25 and includes pizza buffet and $1500 in play money. Games will include Texas Hold'em Poker, Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Three Card Poker, and Slot Machines.

If you purchase your ticket before June 30th you will receive and extra raffle ticket for the door prize raffle. Tickets will be available soon so mark your calendars, this is a event you do not want to miss. 
Saturday, June 24th
The Bloodmobile will be onsite here at The American Legion Post 129 starting at 11 am on Saturday, June 24th. 

Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate. 

Give the gift of life, sign up to donate blood today.
Saturday, June 10th - 6 pm
Join us on Saturday, June 10th at 6 pm for a special high roller edition of Left, Right, Center. We will be playing with $5 scratch off tickets. All 20 spots have been filled. Please feel free to come up Saturday night and see if a spot opens up. 
New Dart league will begin on Tuesday, June 13th at 6 pm

Please note we are no longer collecting plastic bags. We have more than we can handle at this time. If you have extra that you have been saving I believe that Publix recycles them near the entrance.

Rick will be in the kitchen this Sunday for breakfast serving up SOS. Regular menu also available.

Please join us in our American Legion Post 129 Saturday golf.  It is a nine hole captains choice/best ball theme.  We now have over 40 players signed up to play on Saturday Mornings. We would love to have you join us.
